“Enjoyable will definitely return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Called in after a bike ride along the coastal cycleway & enjoyed a really fresh-tasting bowl of soup and a sandwich in this attractive pastel-painted tea room. The menu was exactly what you'd expect with choices like toasted sandwiches and cheese on toast. Didn't try any but the home-made cakes looked very tempting. The outside toilet was clean though a little basic. Wouldn't prevent me going back though. Recommended.

“Expensive for such average food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012 via mobile

I was invited to join 3 other family members who'd been before. Pleasant enough 'restaurant' (more like an upmarket caff). Pleasant enough staff. Menu looked fairly ordinary but prices seemed steep.
I had the Ploughman's and it was disappointing. Small bread roll,
rubbery ham, a rather hard whole apple, hunk of cheese (good!), pickle obviously out of a jar, wrapped portion of butter and a salad garnish that was tiny. Oh, yes, and a whole tomato. I think chef had confused 'traditional' for 'unimaginative'. This cost £7.45 and I felt that to be poor value.
I won't go back.

“High Tea!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Home made cakes and scones made this visit very pleasant. The afternoon tea was impressive sandwiches, three pcs of dfferent cakes and a super massive scone! Which we had to take home as we were so full.
Well worth the short trip out of Conwy to find this - as suggested in the names it's right by Deganwy station!

Stopped off for a quick light lunch and were not disappointed. Good value, nicely presented, and very tasty.
