“It's the friendly service (and a smile) that counts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

The Concorde Hotel is a little way out of Milan but this is easily compensated by the friendliness and support offered by Sergio Castella, the Manager of the Hotel.
Sergio helped with trains, transport, taxi service after a football game, and even helped us find arguably the best sandwich place in the city!

When on holiday we are constantly seeking friendliness and contact with 'real' people ... My sons and I highly recommend the service and friendliness provided by Sergio and his team at Hotel delle Fiere.

Room Tip: The room we had was fine - quiet and dark at night.

We have spent one night there. When we arrived there were two receptionists there. The check in was quick, however they just asked for our ID card and that's it. We got room keys, but no more information about anything. When we booked through Expedia, we couldn't book breakfast, but we weren't asked if we want to have it or no. We went up to the rooms, which were just ok. We were on the first floor where the corridor was really cold. In the rooms, the heating was working surprisingly properly. However the towels were dirty, and the minibar door was broken. The wall in the bathroom was extremely bad, it felt it is going to break off while you are having a shower.. Absolutely not a 4 star hotel.
The 2 receptionist were nice, but gave us wrong information. We wanted to go the the supermarket, so asked for direcetions. we have been told that in 200 meters there is one..so we walked there..like a hell. On a highway, without any pavement...and then it was closed so we had to wait more the 1 hour. Also, there was a brossure about a restaurant in the room, where we wanted to go. We asked where it is..we were told how to get there. During the afternoon when we came back, there was an other receptionist, a guy (unfortunately I dont know his name) and he said that restaurant is closed...the restaurant next door was open but just from 7:30pm what we also didnt know. But we had 20% discount.
The next morning there was the same guy who the day before..we wanted to go the airport, and we almost missed our flight because of the inaccurate information we have been given. We had to catch a taxi in Saronno for 60 euros...
All in all, the receptionist were nice however accurate information would be necessary....

This is a go to hotel for people who travel with a car and dont want the headache of parking. 20 minutes to Milan and also to Malpensa. Train station is also near. The staff are courteous and helpful (something rare in Italy where the concept of customer service is still not very common). Breakfast quite varied for italian standards. Pizzeria/restaurant next door if you get hungry or a japanese resto just across the street.

I was on a three night mini break with my daughter to Milan and we were told this hotel was in the city centre. However it was easy to get to as there is an excellent train service and the station is about a 7 minute walk away. We found the hotel staff at Hotel Concorde very helpful and pleasant esp George on the desk. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was varied and delicious and overall very good value. I would certainly return for another stay. There is an excellent restaurant next door which offers a wonderful selection of Italian cuisene.

Room Tip: We stayed at the back of the hotel and found it very quiet.

Coming from Holland it was quite a drive and therefore lovely to finally arrive at the Concorde Hotel. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the bath room facilities more than adequate. Slept at the back of the hotel which was very quiet and enjoyed a good breakfast before we left. And all that at a very, very reasonable price. (Coming back we paid more than twice as much...).

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel; the front side is quite a busy road.

We were on a trip tot Firenze and used this hotel as a stop along the way. It was "ok" for one night, but next time i would search for another stop.

First of all the hotelroom wasn't the one we had payed for. We booked a twinrom, but got the economy room. We told this to the manager and he began aruing that this bed was bigger and this room was also larger and... This wasn't the case at all!
Secondly we did say at our booking we were non-smokers. The room we got couldn't smell more like cigarettes than your average bar. Only this smell was really annoying. But we were both very tired so we just let it pass by and went to sleep.

We expected the next morning that breakfast would at least be a little bit better. we were wrong... Bread was hard, coffee was cold and the yoghurt in the refrigerator was rather warm than cold.

I also read in one of the other eviews that the parking lot isn't made for big cars. Well it wasn't for small ones either. When we arrived, the parking lot was full (like 6 cars were parked there) and i had trouble to turn around to drive back out of the garage.

Room Tip: If you do want to stay here, just choose the cheapest room you can get. It doesn't care if you p...

Hotel Concorde is nice and reasonably priced, situated outside the center of Milan, but this can easily be reached by train. I must say that the service was very well, the rooms were nice and clean. Not very luxury (maybe it was in the '70's?), but that's not wat you expect from this kind of hotels, and it truly has its charm! When arriving by car, a great advantage is the fact that it is possible to park it for free in a carparking under the hotel.
