Firstly the museum is excellent and worth the trip for everyone. Even if you're not normally interested in flight there is plenty of interest for all ages.
My disappointment was with the airshow that was carried out over the weekend of the 7th & 8th Sept.
We were charged nearly £30 per adult into the airfield where we were surrounded by cheap and nasty stalls selling nothing short of cr@p that looked like they belonged at an outdoor market any other day. They belittled the charm and appeal of what Duxford is any other day of the year.
The airshow started at 2pm with a fantastic roaring jet display, however the show itself seems to get a bit bland as the day went on - that was my opinion, others will disagree.
Interesting also they had the cheek to charge £2 pp to visit the Concorde! - I recall this is free any other day!
Worth mentioning I am a pilot and have flown into Duxford many times myself so am certainly not anti-airplane, just against the way this show was put together.
Wont be returning - give me Sywell or Farnborough anytime
