“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Thanks to the reviews of other trip advisers we found this place whilst staying in the area. Lovely old building with lots of character inside. Staff were welcoming and friendly (though could have done with some help that night). Good reasonably priced beers and wines. Fantastic food. For starters we had the tomato and red pepper soup and I had mussels. The sauce was delicious. For main I had lamb pie which was lovely pieces of lamb in very tasty gravy with peas and minty. asked for a spoon so I could get ALL the gravy and peas so delicious was it! Good local ice creams to finish.

A fabulous dining experience. Has a great range on menu as well.

“Just wished it was my local!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

Working away from home is often not easy as a female, and eating out can also be a nightmare .... Thankfully not at the moment, well not since I've found this place. The staff are very attentive and helpful and they have the attitude of treating everyone how they would like to be treated themselves - perfect. Whilst it is often very busy, there is somehow always space for one to eat. Lovely menu choice from baked potatoes, local lamb to local steak and great attention paid to all. It is somewhere I have to many times since visiting the Cambridge area and would recommend it to anyone staying locally, visiting Duxford air museum or Cambridge itself. You will have a great evening .... Can't wait to come back.

“Great Pub food. Helpful Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

Booked into the restaurant at short notice, as we met up with family from some way away. It was mid-December(Christmas Party time) and, we were advised to have an earlier meal time so that we did not clash with the large parties arriving later on.
The pub atmosphere was really interesting, (lots of features about the history of nearby air base).

The food was good pub food at a good price. Plenty of choice for our party ...the menu was not all about Christmas fare.

Pleasant meal in pleasant surroundings.
