“Enjoyable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel as I has read some mixed reviews about it. This was my first ski package- I'm not really one for the full/half board setup I prefer my quaint restaurants, dim lights and food served to me but no one could honestly fault the food here- fantastic buffet with a great choice which the majority of changed every night. The fish was cooked to perfection- lots of slow cooked meat/chicken which really fell of the bone.
In terms of the room - we had a very large room overlooking a river, it was spotless and cleaned every day. The pool and jacuzzi were nice- opening times are limited and you need your own hat else you need to buy one. You can request the pool to be opened outside of set times but need to give notice.
The location of the hotel is perfect for the El tarter end of the resort as a free mini bus runs you between the hotel and the gondola up the the slopes. If you want to go to Soldeu you need to catch a public bus with comes every 20mins or so- not sure if you can bring your ski gear on this though but there are lockers down at Soldeu. It is all uphill from the hotel to Soldeu where the majority of bars/restaurants are located so bus is best then walk back- 25mins max or grab the bus but is stops at 10pm.
We found it quiet enough in terms of nightlife but there is happy hour at about 6 and most people seem to vein the bars from 4-8.
We never ventured to El tarter for food but heard the Nordic and Dylan's were nice.
I found no major issues with the hotel- think there should be a shop selling water for skiers heading off in the morning- the bar wasn't open some morning to get water which was annoying but other than that I can't fault it and would stay here again.

Room Tip: Don't get a room near the lifts you can hear it loudly in the corridor so probably in the rooms...

The hotel is very Good but situated between Soldeu and El Tarter in a place called Incles.
They provide a good shuttle service to and from the Gondula at El Tarter
We booked with Neilson but found their Reps more interested in the sale of extras and excursions than our safety or better interest.
You don't need a ski locker as there's a free one provided at the hotel. The ski equipment at the Ski shop inside is fine. If your are a beginner it's very unlikely you need a full area pass. The taxis are very expensive (€30 to Soldeu) and the buses stop about 9.30pm.
The walk to or from El Tarter is dangerous as there is no footpath so you have walk inside the crash barriers on a dangerous bend. Yet the reps will still try selling tickets to the quiz night at Dylan's bar without telling you this.
The hotel itself is a nice family type hotel and you can walk to/from Soldeu on a safe pavement in about 25 mins if need to escape.
Enjoy but beware what the Neilson reps try selling you !! Can't speak for the other operators.

I have just returned from my ski holiday at this hotel (23/3/14-30/3/14) The first thing I would like to say is a BIG Thank You to the person who handed in my lost wallet to the hotels reception it was very much appreciated.
The weather was excellent during our weeks stay and the snow conditions were great.
The hotel was a good standard with excellent facilities, and the mini-bus service to the lifts was excellent as were the drivers who were very helpful and cheerful.
The bar staff especially 'Helana' were very helpful and always cheerful, a credit to the hotel, the room we had was a triple room and was well laid out and cleaned to a good standard, however one point that I would like to highlight was the fact that some of the food at meal times was not hot but only warm, this was disappointing as this lets the standard of the hotel down.

Room Tip: Don't have a room by the lifts.

hotel Euroesqui, is located midway between El Tarter and Soldeu ski resorts. Rooms are a good size, nice bathroom with bath and shower. A mini fridge is provided, also a safe, hairdryer. the restaurant is on the lower floor and provides Buffet style meals, with plenty of choice and even microwaves to warm up your food. .
There is a small pool open 5-9pm (could do with opening an hour earlier though.).sauna and Jacuzzi. You will need a bathing cap which you can buy there for 3 euro.
There is also a small gym, children's games area, and disco. The hotel has a ski shop, for your boots and skis and a locker room.10 euro deposit, which is returned when you leave. There are 2 mini buses which provide free transport down to Granvalira gondola, and these run most of the day. The hotel also has free Wi fi in the lounge area, and lots of seating in the bar area. Drink prices were reasonable.
There's a charming little stream running through the hotel. It is very warm in the hotel, and we slept with windows open most nights.
It is a 5 minute bus ride up to Soldeau, where most of the entertainment is. Unfortunately this stops at 10pm and taxi's are not easy to find. This wasn't a problem for us as the entertainment was mostly Apres ski (6pm-9.30). I would recommend this hotel, and have stayed here twice now

We didn't have high expectations of this hotel, but this changed as the week progressed. The arrrival wasn't great, as our room, unlike others who arrived at the same time, was not ready and we had to wait 2 hours to get in, and even then I had to ask twice. Not a good start, but things did get better after that. We were pleased with our room - it looked out over the mountain and pistes and was very roomy with a more than satisfactory bathroom. There was always plenty of hot water. No trouble getting our skis, etc, the lads kitting people out were friendly and helpful.
The food overall was fine, with plenty of options for us vegetarians. The choice of fresh fruit was particularly good.Didn't enjoy the queuing in the mornings for coffee, the two machines are really not enough. There was a good choice of breakfast food, both hot and cold. We went out for a pizza one night and the little place 100 yards up the road served very decent pizzas at a reasonable price.
We didn't have to wait long each morning for the shuttles but recommmend getting to the pick-up point before 9am. Once up on the slopes the skiing was wonderful with some excellent pistes. Overall i'd say that after a hard days skiing this not a bad hotel to come back to.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the third floor on the south side for lovely mountain views

A group of 6 of us went to the Euro Esqui in March 2014, upon Arrival the rooms were ready which is always a great sign!

The rooms were very spacious, clean and modern in design. The Bathroom again was modern, had clean towels, soap, shower gel and Hot Water at all times!

The Food selection at both Breakfast was extensive and theres plenty to please all. Its a buffet selection with food to suit all tastes. Having been to mant French hotels in Ski resorts the food was great.

The only downside is the slow WiFi during busy periods! at some points it was difficult to maintain an internet connection, Maybe something to improve on in the future? A nice idea would be to enable WiFi access in all rooms!

There is 2 mini 8 seater ski buses that shuttle hotel clients to and fro to the nearby El Tartar lifts, some mornings can get busy so its advisable to get out early to avoid the queues as Walking is not really an option!

The staff were always friendly and helpful, Drinks very reasonably priced again unlike French resorts!

Room Tip: If you like an early night, rooms over the bar area can be a little noisy up til midnight so ask for...

We booked this hotel through Crystal for my first ever ski experience. The hotel is in the middle of Soldeau and El Tarter but that wasn't a bad thing as far as we were concerned. The staff were great and the Crystal rep was a godsend for us novices. The lounge area is really well set up for meeting and chatting with other guests and it had a very good atmosphere. The facilities were good (although wearing a swim cap is a bit of a mare) and were a welcome sight at the end of a day on the slopes.

The restaurant is a bit chaotic but the hotel was full and the food is replenished regularly. It wasn't always as hot as it needed to be but there are microwaves available at both ends of the restaurant.

The on-site ski shop was also very useful as were the ski lockers (although we hired on on the mountain to save us from lugging the equipment back and forth).

The shuttle bus drivers were excellent and efficient and very helpful.

The resort is lovely and, since this was my first time skiing, having to get a five minute transfer to the gondola at El Tarter wasn't a huge chore.

I would advise taking a travel kettle if, like me, you need a cuppa first thing as there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room (normal for Andorra apparently).
