Found the hotel no problem...its about 20 minutes drive from Salzburg town centre. There is an S-Bahn station within walking distance, which seems to be brand new - possibly why it doesnt seem to run very often, and stop around 6 (we were told). There isn't much else in the area, but a Thai restaurant and Bakery are being built. The bakery was supposed to be open already, but isn't finished. The hotel itself IS finished.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and modern, though slightly small, but for sleeping and relaxing in the evening it fits its purpose - so no problems there. The only problem besides the bakery not being ready, which we had expected, was that the shower was either very hot or very cold. We tried various ways of getting a normal temp. shower, but nothing helped. Probably some problem which needs fixing by a plumber, but I'm sure they will fine tune everything within the next month or so. I personally found the room too warm during the night, and having the window open wasnt really an option because the wind kept knocking the blind against the wall - but I believe you can adjust the room temperature thermostat - if you know how!
The hotel is ideal as long as you have a car, seeing as the S-bahn doesnt really work (at least not at the moment). There's also an Agip station (including a carwash) at the hotel, which is quite useful.
