“Great value on a long prairie drive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2014

Moosomin is in kind of a no man's land between Regina and Brandon, Manitoba. There aren't many decent choices for an overnight stop along that entire stretch meaning a long, long drive if one is caught east of Regina. The Motel 6 is quite new (3 years?) and as such is very fresh and inviting. Rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable. No carpets. Likely because Moosomin tends to be kind of muddy and there are lots of construction workers in the area staying at the motel. We travel with a dog and she loves the place. Lots of room to walk and Moosomin itself can be quite nice to walk around when the weather is nice. (Not so much in the winter.) We've stayed three times and will certainly be back.

Room Tip: The motel is several stories but they have an elevator. Maybe a south facing room is preferable. The...

Had to make reservations on short notice, hotel staff where very accommodating , efficient on all aspects. The hotel is very clean and looked after, although I believe it's fairly new. For business travelers it's a good place to stay . Mind you , you might think your room is from an ikea display model . I never had "con breakfast", so I can't comment on that . It was bitter cold for my trip , and there are plug ins available for your vehicle. There are a number of restaurants close buy . It's a nice motel , no real frills , but enough to get buy with .

Room Tip: Request a room facing the front of the location .

Wow! That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think about Motel 6 in Moosomin, SK. A great big happy wow! Where do I start...stay here. Couldn't recommend it enough. It was like dropping into a dream.

After a long day of riding, I happily pulled into the Motel 6; one of several I stayed at, and one of our biggest supporters for our 2013 bicycle ride across Canada; the "Making Wow" tour promoting youth leadership and our not-for-profit organization, the "It Takes 2 Youth Leadership Institute." (IT2Institute.com)

The staff and management were absolutely wonderful; it was like walking into your own home at the end of your day. They smiled and talked to you like you were a real person, not just a passerby. They let me bring my bike inside and kept it locked in their boardroom so I could have a relaxing and restful night. I was almost hoping for a flash snowstorm or tornado; anything just so I could have stayed another night.

The rooms were unlike anything I have ever seen. Immaculately clean, modern and trendy, comfortable and quiet. They even had a cool little cafe downstairs where guests to could watch TV and complimentary coffee.

I still smile when I think about this place and the wonderful people in it. Can't thank you enough Roman and staff! Hope to see you again soon!

Was spending Christmas with family arrived at Motel 6 upon recommendations from family and friends. Stayed 2 nights and cannot say enough about Roman Chernykh and his staff !!!! The motel itself is spotless, beautifully decorated and quiet. The beds were super comfortable and kitchenette and complimentary coffee was wonderful. But the customer service displayed by Roman and his staff was exceptional !!!! After getting to the room received a call from Mr. Chernykh inquiring if everything was satisfactory !!!!! Thank you Roman and staff for a wonderful stay !!!

My son and I stayed in Dec. for hockey and we were so happy we chose this hotel.
The staff were awesome, even upgraded us to a suite when they heard we were there for a hockey weekend.
The room was spotless and we loved the laminate floors, no carpet made it feel so clean!
The beds were very comfy and the kitchonette was fabulous.
Would stay again in a heartbeat!

We ended up staying 2 nights at this Motel 6 on our way back from Christmas in Saskatoon. The second night was due to the blowing snow making its way through the Prairies. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was so accommodating. The owner went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and even gave us a kitchenette room for the same rate as a regular room, as we were travelling with a three month-old infant and he figured we could make use of the facilities. He also offered a playpen for our son's use, and put us in a very quiet corner of the hotel. We appreciated everything!! The rooms were SUPER clean and modern, as were all the common areas. Great complimentary coffee/hot chocolate any time of day as well. You can't go wrong at this place!!

The rooms are simple. Comfortable beds /pillows. Very clean rooms. Breakfast is coffee and a muffin. In comparison to other hotels of this price breakfast is poor. We asked for a quiet room via online reservation and also made the request again while checking in and were given a room by the fitness center so had joggers making lots of noise next door. I think the people at the front desk that evening needed to listen to customer requests more seriously.

Room Tip: Make sure front desk staff are listening to your needs.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the confusion with your reservation. It is our intention to keep errors of this nature at a minimum. Unfortunately, reservation mix-ups do occur.

That’s why we decide to offer Muffins for quick breakfast meal to complete a coffee only in mornings. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence.
We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.
