This hotel was only rated three star but I would give it a five! It's located off of the Petralia Soprana's main square and it's easy to find street parking. You enter the hotel from a narrow street. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our spacious room. We had a corner room with two great views of the rooftops and countryside. The room was incredibly clean and decorated simply but nicely. To top it off, it had a large bathroom, computer with free Internet, and free mini bar. If our itinerary had permitted, we would've stayed at this hotel for another night or two.

My wife and I and 2 teenagers and my mother-in-law stayed 2 nights in this tastefully renovated old structure turned hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and we had a nice view from our room. The hotel was practically empty as I think folks have yet to discover this out of the way place. Staff was very helpful. There is no elevator or air conditioning but even in August it was comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I was on a road trip around Sicily with my friend and we booked the hotel i Petralia Soprana online with out knowing anything about it. It turned out to be the best hotel we stayed at during our vacation. Great service, fantastic atmosphere, the rooms are outstanding, and the breakfast is better than most places in Italy.

Petralia Soprana is a must do if you are travelling to Sicily and Residenza Petra would be a great choice for recommodations...

Petralia Soprana is high in the Madonie Mountains of Sicily . A town of character , the hotel is a fine restoration . The rooms are of a medium size . All the facilities are there . The upper rooms have views over the rooftops . The staff are very helpful and friendly . Off season , and this includes early May when we stayed , dinner may have to be found in Petralia Sottana .
Overall , a great place to stay for this relatively quiet mountain area .
