“A good place for a no frills break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

We have just returned from this hotel and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Costa, Nicos and Jackie, always with smiles on their faces, made our stay enjoyable. Yes, the food is average and the drinks a bit more expensive but the pool area is good for relaxing and if you don't want to walk into Roda, it is a pleasant place to be. There is always someone busy cleaning. polishing, sweeping or gardening so it is a well run establishment. If you are self catering, the supermarket across the road is spotless and the owner very helpful. Also, it is open from about 0830 until getting on for midnight. It is quite basic self catering, so don't expect to be able to do a Sunday roast!

Room Tip: Rooms towards the rear of the hotel will be quieter and, if you have a bad back, ask for a downstair...

This hotel/apartment complex was very clean and well kept. The restaurant area serves a wide variety of meals and has different offers everyday. Staff are always willing to help. A supermarket directly opposite is cheap and the owner very friendly. A 3 min walk takes you into Roda centre and beach where there are a variety of pubs and restaurants. A quiet resort but very nice, there is nightlife but not in the same league as other resorts, Sidari is just a few Euro in a taxi if you want a bit more lively
. A bus takes you into Corfu town which is well worth a visit day and night- very attractive with Venetian history evident in the architecture.

We stayed at the Roda Oasis Hotel July/August this year (2012). The hotel is immaculate and rooms are cleaned every day. The pool area is kept very clean and safe, and there is waiter/waitress service available at the pool at all times. The staff are all very helpfull and friendly and always on hand when you need them. The food is very good, and although we were staying bed and breakfast, we also stayed for evening meal on occasions. The breakfast however, I feel could have been a bit more varied. You had a choice each morning of Full English Breaksfast, or continental, which was toast with cheese/cooked meat. It was alright for the first few days, but gets quite boring when you are staying two weeks. I would however, like to say a special thank to Chrissa, who serves the breakfast each morning, and then helps at the pool bar until late afternoon. She works very hard, and looked after us very well.
The only other thing I would say, is that if you have difficulty walking, you may find it quite difficult to get to the village, as you have to walk along a 'dirt track' and the side of the road for a short time. Other than that, a great place to stay.
Thank you all staff for a great holiday. X

After reading thoroughly the above review I really do have to make clear some points.
First of all , all the guests do know when they book that the breakfast is the continental. The very efficient staff serving the breakfast do the best to please everybody! The guests can also have milk & cereals as well as more coffee or extra hot water for tea at NO extra cost! The only extra cost is for the full English breakfast at the price of 4 Euros. The guests can also have omelettes or small English breakfasts at an even cheaper price!
Probably, the above guests confused the price of the English Breakfast with the “extra hot water” for tea!
Secondly , the “very, very expensive” bottle of water costs only 1 Euro!
If you are not willing to pay at least 1 Euro for a 1.5 lt of a bottle of water then you should ask for tap water.
The restaurant of the hotel is very busy , because our guests appreciate the fresh food & the quality of the food. The price of a bottle of water can not really be compared with the quality & the choice of the food offered.
Moreover , in order to have a “ brilliant” swimming pool , you have to spend enough time to clean & chlorinate it properly. For that to happen the swimming pool has to close at 7 pm. I really do think that ten hours a day is enough for sun bathing!
As far as the air condition is concerned , it is really common sense that the fan is cheaper than the air condition . The guests have the choice between a nice cool aiconditioned room and a room with a fan blowing warm air ! The cost of maintaining an air condition unit can not be compared with the cost of a small fan!

To conclude, I can assure every valued guest that the staff & the management of the “ Roda Oasis” complex try hard to make everybody’s holiday not just “brilliant” but “ fantastic”.

The numerous repeat guests , the many awards of Tour Operators as well as the certificate of Excellence from the prestigious Trip Advisor for the year 2012 prove at least a point!

As the other reviews report; the customer service is second to none, the whole complex (rooms, pool, bar and gardens) is spotlessly clean and it is a very welcoming, relaxing and fun place to stay. The 8 minute to walk to the village was OK - there aren't any hills on the way there or back so it's just a steady stroll and you can always stop off at one of the bars on the way. Taxis are available at 5 Euro to/from the beach if required.

With it being out of the village, the Oasis is a lot quieter than hotels in the village and offers a peaceful place to sit around the pool and in the rooms (the only noise was from an annoying cockeral)!

Kostas and Nikos are excellent hosts. They will help with any questions, keep you amused and ensure that you enjoy your stay with them. Jackie is a star too!

I have been to many Greek nights (on various islands) and would highly recommend the one at the Oasis. If you're up for a laugh, drink and giving the dancing a go you will have a great time! The food was good and I felt that it was value for money. I also got to meet some lovely people who were there to enjoy themselves and make the most of their holiday.

Go to the Oasis, enjoy all it has to offer and like me, you won't want to come home.

This was our first time at the Roda Oasis but I can promise you, it wont be our last. Kosta and Nickos are the best and nothing is too much trouble for them. Jackie and Dora the night waitresses are fantastic as is Krissa who serves drinks endlessly throughout the day. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The pool is cleaned nightly as are the sun loungers. The maids come in to the room every day to clean and make the beds. The pool is beautiful and sparkling clear. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and would reccomend this hotel to anyone who wants to have fun and relax. We met some wonderful people. Roda town is only a short walk away and very reasonably priced. Lastly the beach is wonderful. You can walk into the sea for ages and the water still only reaches waist height, so is ideal for families. Its like going into a warm bath.
