Having recently cruised to St.Marteen's we took our cab to Orient Beach and found a nice spot to rent a lounge chair, umbrella and even a included drink. Orange Fever is just a little place to plop yourself in front of to enjoy the beautiful water and beach. For $7, the four of us got a nice spot on the beach enjoying the 82 degree temp. We also got a drink included in this price and my wife and I enjoyed a Bay Breeze cocktail. A bucket of beer (6) was just $10. If you like to sip a beer on the beach this is the place. Please note that the place is not fancy and looks a little like it was just put together at random, but that's not why we picked it. Getting the spot on the beach that was very crowded was the main goal and maybe a cocktail. The bathroom is not for the faint of heart but it satisfied the need. There isn't much of a bar to speak of so we had our drinks on the lounge chair. By the way, Orient Beach is clothing optional and a young lady next to us decided to take advantage of it which was a nice surprise. However, people of all ages decided to not wear either a top or bottom and this is sometimes not a pleasant sight to see. We did not eat at Orange Fever, instead we ate a couple of places down with a varied menu and a better place to sit. It was called Chez Leandra and I have written a review of this. So, if you just want a place to crash on the beach with a nice view and reasonable cost, Orange Fever is a good day spent.
