We could copy just about any positive review about Le Grand Bleu, repost it and be accurate. We found Le Grand Bleu using TripAdvisor and were thrilled we did.

Here are the negatives. Almost no view from the room and one evening a week there is music. The way to deal with the music is to go to the party, have a drink and dance. You can't fight them so join them. As far as the lack of a view the patios and decks are nice, you see green and it is tranquil.

Okay, on to the positives. Location. Location. Location. There is a new sign so you can find it now. The hotel is about 1,000 feet from the beach. You can walk the wooden boards to the beach and don't even need sandals. There is a little village walking distance with lots of restaurants, a small grocery, and just about anything else you could need and might find in a small village. The beach is beautiful. Also, Gerard and every employee there is so nice.

So, what is the catch. We are going back. It was so nice and we liked it so much we will become regulars. I know it sounds BORING, but we really like it. I know next February my wife and I will be staying with Gerard and sunning ourselves on the beach.

My wife and I spent 2 weeks at Le Grand Bleu at the end of January. We will go back there. The hotel is clean and well managed. It is well located but I would highly recommend renting a car to see other parts of this beautiful island. It is not a 5 star but it has everything you need including a very helpful staff. The beach is great and there is a small village near by that has very nice restsurants.

We just came back from St. Martin where we stayed three nights in room 213 on the second floor of Le Grand Bleu. We have to say we liked it very much. The staff is friendly and talk several languages, the location is very convenient, good parking availability, the beds are simply GREAT (pillows could be less bulky or high, but this is a matter of taste), rooms are very clean and have a pleasant smell when you walk in. One negative thing that we noticed was that hot water is not available at all times. I had to take a cold shower once. Also, on Saturday night we went to bed around 12:00 and weren't able to sleep until after 2:00am because of the loud music from Waikiki which is right behind. Maybe you can ask for a room farther from the music. Besides that, everything was great and we do recommend it!

We stayed at Le Grand Bleu for the second time in two years and were as pleased this time as the first time. Gerard and Daphne were very welcoming and did everything to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The location of the propery cannot be beat! It is steps away from Orient Beach and very handy if you happen to forget something in your room, etc. It is also a short walk to the restaurants and grocery store. We stayed on the third floor this year and had a beautiful view of the ocean, The rooms were cleaned every day. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.
