“Outstanding Creole Food on Orient Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

Chez Leandra is an outstanding Creole Restaurant open for lunch on Orient Beach. The proprietor, Leandra, is the Chef, and her daughter was formerly in the U.S. Marine Corps and works today in Washington, DC. The food is outstanding and VERY reasonably priced. One can get red snapper in an excellent creole sauce for about half of what you would pay at many of the other restaurants. The plus is that you have a beautiful view of Orient Bay since the restaurant is right on the beach.

“Best fish wrap”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

My husband and I go to St Martin, Orient Beach every year and never miss having lunch at Chez Leandra..Our favorite is the fish wrap but all the food is great. It is family owned and the service is both personal and attentive. It is one of the best places we eat while we are in St Martin

“Quality, Affordable, Creole from Friendly People”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

As you peruse the white sands of Orient Bay, it won’t take long to find numerous overpriced eateries on the beach. Thankfully I was fortunate enough to stumble across Chez Leandra. Any place that immediately boasts signs for 6 x $10 beer, $5.00 cocktails, 2 for $5.00 shots, and most meals for $10.00 or less has my full loyalty and support. For the area and the price, I was actually surprised at how good the food and drinks were.

I’ve had Conch Fritters on several islands including Grand Cayman, and these were right on par. For only $6.00, the portion size was surprising. My side of red beans and rice was excellent as well. My girlfriend had the barbecue chicken wrap which is only $8.00 and comes with a side of fries, plantains, or beans and rice as well. The wrap was so large that she could only eat one half of it. Our neighboring table ordered one of the footlong sandwiches for around $10.00. What came out was an enormous sandwich with fries that would make Jared from Subway blush. They promptly split that meal and ate for $5.00 each.

The drinks are awesome, the food was fresh and delicious, and the people were friendly. Not sure what else you could ask for in that gorgeous Orient Bay setting (besides perhaps a few less grossly unattractive nudists sitting next to you???) Word to the wise, keep your eyes above table level and enjoy that delicious meal regarless. Cash Only.

“A must go place for lunch...”

Right on the beach, you cannot have a better feel of beach ambiance; it is about 20 feet from the waves! The food is just great!

“Was Pretty Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Wandered in because Ethnic was closed on Tuesday. They were out of a couple of items, ok I get the ordering on the island thing but lobster? The wife has a conch and shrimp salad and it was uninspired. The dressing was a bottle of Italian on the table. I had a fish sandwich, it was really good. Fish was fresh and the peppers and onions were a nice touch.
The service was very good and the view of course is unbeatable. Between here, Sun Beach and Ethnic...go to Ethnic.
