We stayed in a Delux room which was extremely overpriced in comparison to what the other resorts on the island have to offer. The room was very basic, tiled floors, fairly open which meant that bugs and geckos were everywhere. Tinned roofs means that the room gets very very hot from midday to around 3 in the afternoon. No electricity except at night so no way to cool down during the day. Bathroom was also very basic, no hot water and only salty water from the ocean to shower in, no fresh water at all (lots of other resorts offer some fresh water to wash off the salty water).
We got the impression that the owner's agenda was to get as much money out of us as possible but giving us as little as possible by way of service. Other staff were very friendly but didn't seem happy at all. The meals were not very satisfactory - breakfast was frozen white bread with the cheapest jams possible everyday! I was ill several times as a result of the food, perhaps ingredients were not fresh. All local food but underaverage in comparison to the other resorts we sampled.
Snorkelling equiptment that we rented was old and broken - had to abort 2 snorkels due to faulty equipment.
The only positive thing about this resort is that the coral in front is incredible. We moved to another resort not far away and swam to the snorkelling spot which worked out fine. Would not recommend this place at all I'm afraid!
