“Lovely location, needs a refurbishment”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

We went for a cold, wet walk along the canal and the pub looks warm and welcoming. Inside it really needs some love and a good clean up. The food was quite expensive for what it was. Kids meals were nice and the fish really good.

“Good service, good food and excellent drinks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

This pub / restaurant is well placed alongside the canal with adequate car parking. An excellent menu and extremely popular at weekends so be sure to book.

“Grim to say the least!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

Lunch time on a Saturday and just the two if us in.
£7.00 for a baguette - you must be joking! Manager less than helpful and the place needs a good clean.
Have been in far cleaner (and drier) public toilets. They were a disgrace considering we were the first customers of the day.
Certainly will not be back.
Pity because it is located in such a promising canal side position.

“Never fails to delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Love this place, especially since its been 'reborn'. Food is always spot on, service is quick, staff are warm and friendly.

Perfect location by the canal, plenty of scope to walk off the hearty lunch!

The menu is a mixture of traditional and unusual dishes, real gastropub fare and always a delight to visit. Family and pet friendly also, whats not to like!

“Quick Stop Off Pint”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Visited this pub on way back from a day out. Plenty of Real Ale and a nice drink beside the canal. Staff friendly and a nice quaint atmosphere.
