“Weekday Evening Drinks & Nibbles - very good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

We took our Adult daughter out for drinks at Milsoms, and really enjoyed the atmosphere, the drinks and service, and the general "buzz", making for a great evening out. This was a standard weekday, yet clearly many others used it for special meals and events. The lounge was warm, the staff knowledgeable and friendly. I'll be back!

“We left before we ate!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

This review is for the Kesgrave outlet. We visited on a birthday before and it was ok. But on a further visit it was so busy we were seated well away from the hotel across a lawn on some paving...most strange. We ordered wine....had to remind the waiter to bring it out. The pita bread came out with the olives. The pita turned to dry crackers and the olives were poor/gritty. The main course took for ever to arrive. We decided to pay for the wine and leave for a impromptu Thai in town. We spoke to the maître D who was a bit smarmy and stated "what do you expect? look how busy we are!" I said I'd have appreciated some honesty (if not an apology) where I would have expected them to say we cannot take an order for 20,30,40 mins etc As it was important to look after those committed to a meal and inform prospective diners. Have not been back there, but the Milsomes near La Talbooth is better.

“Great Lunch and reasonable prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

I decided to take my wife to Milsoms for a spot of lunch on Valentines day, having previously been to the restaurant for a business lunch. On both occasions the service was excellent and the food well cooked, well presented and tasted great. The only slight down side is that you can't book you just have to turn up and take your chances. I've only been lunch time, mid-week and on both occasions been able to get a table straight away, however I suspect at weekends and in the evening it would be a different matter.

“Lovely Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Just back from a very relax, lovely lunch. We were very late 2.20.p.m but were still greeted with a smile - yes still serving lunch no problem. My son had calves liver perfectly cooked and I chose the fresh Haddock fish cake with a beautifully cooked soft boiled egg in the center and lovely crispy coating on the fish. Pear Tart with rosemary and vanilla icecream and crystallised sprigs of rosemary to decorate rounded the meal off perfectly. Good coffee too.
