We stumbled across this place last Sunday while out sightseeing. We weren't dressed for such a fantastic dining occasion but it was getting late and the restaurant next door fobbed us off, clearly not wanting a couple of English tourists. In the end that was the best thing that happened to us as the meal was one of the best I have had anywhere in the world. It wasn't cheap but the quality fully justified the price. They were very gracious about our dress and our lack of Spanish and sent a Theresa, lovely waitress, to help us who spoke very good English. The wine was surprisingly cheap considering the quality of the food and the whole meal was faultless. The view down to the sea is stunning and the service was relaxed and unhurried which was surprising considering how late we arrived in the afternoon (1515hrs). The only thing that could put you off is the fact that it is part of a bigger establishment where Spanish families meet for huge family lunches - the posh part being screened off with just a run of cane screens - and so the noise and chatter is quite obvious. I have used the word obvious rather than intrusive as to us it all blended as part of the experience. If you are fortunate enough to be on the Baiko to Bermeo road one Sunday you need to try it - I'd be stunned if you weren't delighted!
