We stayed at the twelve hotel for a two night midweek break in April 2008.
The hotel itself is very stylish, very clean and very comfortable. The rooms are decorated in a modern fashion and to a very, very high standard.
Food at the hotel is top notch. The main restaurant is outstanding (although the staff could be a little more attentive). The bar which also serves food provides a very comfortable and relaxed experience with top notch food for a very reasonable price (and more attentive staff).
This hotel provides serious value for money especially for a midweek break. If I were visiting Galway again I would certainly stay at the twelve.
It is worth noting that this hotel is not actually in Galway, it is situated in a small village about a ten minute drive away. This is not much of a problem if you have a car but failing that I am not sure how good the public transport is. In the village there is not much else but the twelve does provide everything you could want.

Although not in Galway city this hotel is great. Bar food was great, service was excellent and Barna is a beautiful spot (try Mulberry restaurant across from the hotel).
The twelve has its own bakery aswell and we even got little sample in our room!
Decor is modern - really luxurious.

The Twelve Hotel
The perfect place to un-wind and relax, we loved our stay at the 12 this time last year. Having decided against the more expensive/charecterless hotels in Galway city centre we booked in here for one night and within 10minutes of being in the room went back down to reception and booked for a second night.
We borrowed DVDs from reception to watch on the system in the room, took spa-treatments (which can be in your room), ate in the restaurant and used it as a base to explore further into the beautiful Galway countryside. The place was stylish & immaculate and the staff seemed genuinely happy to have us there! Unfortunately the bakery part hadn't been opened when we were there but i imagine the breakfasts are even nicer now.

Just back from a weekend at the hotel and can't praise it enough! We had very long drive from dublin and felt completely relaxed as soon as we walked in the door. We were upgraded to a suite which was huge and very luxurious. Stayed for 2 nights with bed and breakfast and one evening meal in the west which was lovely. The pins bar was great craic with live jazz bands and lovely bar staff, cocktails gorgeous! Only ventured out of hotel to galway city on sat day for some shopping, took taxi in for 15euro. Overall fantastic weekend and was sad to leave on sun! Can't wait to book next break at the twelve!

excellent hotel that we highly recommend with unique boutique decor- we stayed for 2 nights in a superior room over the easter weekend.Elegant bedroom with huge comfy bed ,welcome chocs !bathrobe & slippers supplied -we liked the bathroom mood lighting........ and superb bath products with essential oils -but towels could be fluffier !
Staff were v helpfull & courteous
Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order , we ate in the west restaurant on 1 evening excellent service & food.
Opposite the hotel is also an excellent pub with seafood restaurant - called o'grady's (?)
