“great meal and pool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

Beautiful hotel set in a residential area – very quiet . lovely pool to cool off . Even if you can’t get a room here , I would highly recommend their restaurant – the best meal of our 2 week French trip .

Arrived at the hotel after a very long drive from the UK. We had a little trouble finding reception which is in the building nearest the car park entrance.
The hotel staff were very welcoming. The room was very clean if a little dated. We were offered a reservation in the restaurant which we took. The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Very good value for money.

Room Tip: Some ground floor rooms have a private garden terrace with seating.

I have to admit that I've never stayed in this hotel - and it certainly looks as if it could be ideal for a family holiday - but I have recently eaten in its restaurant. The meal produced, as one might expect, mixed responses from those around the table. Personally, I found my quercy salade starter to be good. My main course of dorade was served on a bed of vegetables which was unbelievably hot and overcooked - even when I'd boned and eaten the whole fish, it was still too hot to eat and had to be left! Despite our ordering from the card, the whole dish looked extremely 'tired' as though it had been cooked earlier & kept somewhere very hot. My pudding was strawberries, which were unripe - and to find unripe strawberries in the height of summer in this area is quite hard. We did, however, have the pleasure of helping my wife to consume her quite enormous starter of melon in muscatel, (enough for three) which appeared to be virtually a whole melon swimming in wine and about 6 or 7 slices of jambon. The service was good, if a little rapid, and the staff friendly but the food is certainly variable and portion control might well be something they might want to look at.

This is an ideal place to stay if you want to visit Cahors but stay in the countryside where there is peace and quiet.

The hotel has a pleasant garden with a good-sized swimming pool and a terrace for outdoor dining.

We stayed one night en route to the Pyrenees. Our room was comfortable, rates were reasonable and we had a good dinner.

The staff are extremely friendly, efficient and helpful.

Would definitely return.
