“Room size is good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2014

Stayed in the standard Twin room, the size is good for the 3 of us. Location is convenient and with limo bus to airport is a plus point. Shopping area is just across the street. The service is excellent as encountered some problems with the room. Would recommend friends to stay here.

We picked this hotel after reading reviews in Trip Advisor. It is a medium priced hotel with a great location next to an underground station enabling you to travel round Tokyo easily. We booked a double and 2 single rooms. The 2 singles were upgraded and they were given better and bigger rooms than we had. The rooms were not particularly large, but not many hotels rooms in Tokyo are spacious. It had all the facilities including a hospitality tray.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, just what we needed after a day of sightseeing. We were pleased that there was a Gym and pool at the hotel. You do have to pay approximately £12 each for a day's use, but the Gym was good. The pool was only 2 narrow lanes in width. One lane was for swimmers and the other for walkers.
I would recommend staying here, primarily for its location.

I debated this hotel and, in hindsight, should have spent all of my nights in Tokyo there. It is located right next to a train station (which is really what matters in Tokyo), the rooms are clean, the hotel is nice with good restaurants (including a ridiculously wonderful view from the bar/restaurant on the top floor - rivals the Park Hyatt. Most importantly though the staff was wonderful - from helpfully providing all information for sightseeing and airport transfers, to quickly responding to any requests, etc. Also the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel.

MUCH better than the significantly more expensive Intercontinental ANA in Roppongi.

We stayed at the Tokyo Metropolitan hotel for 8 nights.
as far as ot concern the location it is very well posotioned, as the Ikebukuro railway station has connection with the most subway and rail line to go anywhere inside Tokyo.
The accomodation is quite sufficient and dont forget to pay visit on the restaurants and definately at the lounge bar on the top floor.

The hotel is centrally and conveniently located next to the JR station. It is clean although the room is bit small as compared to the price. There is no wifi in the lobby area and need to pay 500yen per stay for wifi in room.

Got superior single room on high floor.

Great internet within the room included. Almost no internet coverage outside if room even in the lobby.

Good view from room.

All hotel restaurants are expensive but the breakfast buffet for 2500¥ was good. Go to top floor of Lumine or Tobu department stores at train station for many dining options.

Attentive staff and helpful concierge/duty manager.

I stayed there for 4 nights with my family. The hotel was very close to train stain Ikebukuro. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was also great! I booked local tours (4 tours) with the reservation team before I arrive Japan. Everything was in order. The team was very efficient. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friend and will stay there again for my next visit to Tokyo. Fantastic!!
