All previous reviews were spot on -- no wi-fi, dated furniture, no English TV channels and tiny rooms. No for the good stuff, there is some construction going on and hopefully some changes will take place in the coming months. However without major renovations, the size of the rooms will not change.
My boys and I stayed here purely for the location to the Shinjuku JR and Tokyo subway line. Subway line is right across the street and the JR line is less than a 5 minute walk. Right outside is a 24 hr McDonalds and a store for quick snacks.
Once you get settled in the room with your luggage, there is not room for anything else. My room didn't have a closet or dresser, just to hooks on the wall to hang up clothes. My boy’s room had a small closet, but you could only hang two pieces of clothing up.
In Tokyo and Shinjuku area, it would have been tough to beat the price. If there is a next time for us, I would spend a few extra Yen/dollars and stay someplace else.
