“Nice tempura”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

We went for dinner and got the medium set menu. It was plenty of food and very different from tempura in Canada. There were three types of salt for dipping, daikon, daikon with radish, soup, rice, some jelly thing and tempura of veggies, fish, shrimp, and she'll fish. It was a very good experience with excellent service and an English menu. Great alternative to too ,much noodles. Ver close to Adidas store near shinjuku station. Try it. It's not that expensive either. 27 CAD per person.

“Tempura”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Pros: delicious tempura, lovely tradicional place, very popular among locals, nice staff, English menu.

This is a lovely traditional tempura restaurant located in a very modern shopping district.
Unfortunately pics are not allowed.
We shared a set menu that included some different types of tempura: fish, seafood, veggies, clam and a soup.
The chef was very nice and explained us how to eat the clam.

“Best Tempura and Sashimi in Tokyo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

You cannot miss this place, even if you are not a tempura fan. They will change your view on tempura, no long oil, fat and coated with thick better, tempura can be very crispy, light and dissolve in your mouth. This is the first time i ate the whole shrimp tempura, including the tail!
The sashimi is very good too. We ordered a white fish (forgot the name but is in family of halibut) taste like a mix of lobster and laichee fruit. Yummy!!! definitely will go back when i visit the region again.

“Awesome. Tempura.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

This small, cosy tempura restaurant is amazing. I sat at the bar, and they made fresh tempura right there. Shrimp, fish, vegetables and many other things. Had they amazing oyster, mushroom, ginger tempura thing that just blew me away. Unfortunately, I don't know the japanese name for it anymore.
The locale was cute, and divided into different sections. At the bar near the entrance where I sat there were no tourists. There was an english menu and one lady who spoke a bit of english. They were very friendly. The food was great, the service was very good. I'd go again any day. Actually, if I weren't afraud I'd miss out on another excellant restaurant, I might be there again tonight...

“One of the best Tempura I had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

This is the second time I eat at Tsunahachi. It was surprisingly very good. The chef fry the tempura on the spot and serve us item by item. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable and value for money. Be prepared to queue for a while though. This is a popular joint for the locals.
