“Relaxing Saturday morning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

I went here after reading so many good reviews as a way to wrap up my time in Tokyo and I wasn't disappointed. The park feels like a different world compared to the city around it and its easy to forget where you are. The grounds are impeccably kept and a joy to wander around whilst doing a spot of people watching.

“Great Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

Large park in the middle of Tokyo, we've been on a weekend day, and there are all kinds of activities underway, worth visiting, but what really makes it a must see on the weekends is all the locals gathering to do social things there. One of the first things I saw was a group of maybe 20 people all dressed like Elvis, dancing and playing air guitar to sounds issuing from a huge boom box. Surreal. My favourite that we saw were the Rockabilly groups rocking out with their tight jeans, leather jackets.

“Dramatic autumn leaves”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013 via mobile

It was such a relaxed Sunday spent at yoyogi park! We were lucky enough to visit in November and experience the stunning yellows and reds of the leaves at the change of season. Walking around was lovely. While in the park we did a lot of people watching which was fascinating and saw some Lolita girls, two traditional weddings, plenty of people in kimonos and lots of well groomed dogs dressed up in fancy gear. It was a day well spent

“Oasis in the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

The park encompasses the Meiji Jingu shrine, another must-visit spot in Tokyo. Wear comfortable shoes as you stroll through this peaceful, tranquil oasis in the middle of the city, as the gravel floor may be a bit hard on the heels. The massive tori gates does make one feel small, which is as humbling as it is assuring.

“Oasis amidst an oasis”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

I loved everything about Yoyogi park, take your time and walk around, observing women clad in traditional Japanese garments trod the gravel paths and taking in the serenity of the quiet, yet very loud forest in the heart of Tokyo.
