“Great Dinner at Addu Mamma”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I ate here last night and had one of our best meals of our 2 week trip. The staff could not have been more helpful and the food was authentic Italian. We had the antipasti sampler which was satisfying and gave a good mix of what they offered to start. We shared 3 pasta dishes which you could tell were made with care and fresh ingredients. Thank you to mamma, davide and the entire staff for making one of our last meals in Japan memorable.

“Terrific place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

I can recommend you going there. After eating kobe and sushi for more days, it was fantastic to go into this little autentic place with good Italian food made my mamma:)
While eating you can have a chat with the nice Italian host about the scudetto and life in general.
Thank you for a nice evening and a bite of Bologna in the hectic Tokyo.
Kind Regards from Denmark

“Must visit ( gluten free friendly)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

Such a great place and gluten free friendly. A rare find at italian restaurants and even more so in tokyo. The food is incredible and the service even better. Davide the italian waiter is outstanding guiding us through the experience with great recommendations for food and wine and fun stories as well. Mamma the chef is amazing and did everything possible to make our night memorable.

“A wonderful authentic Italian experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

My girlfriend and I love Italian food. Everywhere we go in the world we try the best Italian food we can find. Addu mamma was up to anything we could have hoped for.

Mamma - the japanese owner of the restaurant - goes every morning at Tsukiji market, makes sure to bring only the freshest ingredients of the day and writes up her menu accordingly.
So don't expect to necessarily find exactly what you have in mind but instead, let yourself be guided by the inspiration of Mamma, who by the way speaks perfect Italian.

The restaurant is small and the atmosphere very cosy. Davide - the Italian waiter - will serve you the best olive oil and wine from his country. Everything about this trattoria is generous and delightful. A little haven of Italy in a backstreet of busy Shibuya.

On the day of our visit, we enjoyed a delightful mixed antipasti set including Japanese fish carpaccio, a great Sangiovese wine, pasta all'amatriciana (best ever tasted) and pasta mare e monti (including shitake mushroom!). Yes, Mamma is able to include some typical Japanese ingredients in her cuisine. A must go!

One way to find the retaurant: get of at Shibuya east exist and walk toward Omote Sando. Addu Mamma will be on your right in a small parallel street.

Grazie Mamma !
