“Great location very quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

Stayed here for 8 nights as our base in Tokyo. Very close to subway and JR lines. There is free wi fi in foyer and first floor which is definitely a nonus. Also a guests lounge area with free computers, where you can relax and watch TV if you dont want to be in your room. Everything was very nice, only one comment for management - (room 521)even though the carpet was "clean" it was very stained and detracted from the room. Surely some new carpet wouldn't cost much? We definitely recommend this hotel however as everything else was perfect.

We expected more at the price we paid per night.
Staff was nice and helpful.
The first day we checked in our bathroom was disgusting. There was hair hanging on the bathtub stopper. If they haven't cleaned that, goodness knows what else they didn't clean!
Rooms are extremely tiny and standard for Japan.
Our room didn't even have a view at all.
Would not stay there again.

This hotel is very handy for Shinjuku Station (use the South Terrace Exit) and for the JR lines you can use for free in Tokyo. The Narita express also stops here. The hotel itself was very nice and clean; we had a spacious room. In fact, I was suprised that the bed was against the wall on one side as the room was easily big enough for it to fit "propertly". We were on the 3rd floor and I think the room were had was designed to accomodate wheelchairs as the doors were very wide and the bathroom floor was level with the mainn room. This may be why the bed was against the wall. The hotel has vending machines and ice machines and a guest lounge with free wifi and computers. They are more than happy to hold on to your luggage for you. There is a Family Mart Convienience Store over the road too.

We travelled to Japan in a group of 6 and booked 3 rooms at this hotel. The hotel is easy to find coming out of Shinkjuku station if you take the west exit. It is right near all the hustle and bustle of the city and lots of restaurants and shops are nearby. Location near the station is very convenient as it is a short walk away and harajuku and Shibuya are only a few train stops away. Hotel rooms are small which seem to be the standard in japan, rooms are clean and staff very friendly and helpful.

This was our first trip to Tokyo and after reading many positive reviews of this hotel , we decided to go for it. We stayed 4 nights here before moving to another hotel in Odaiba. Booked a Standard Queen room and it was small as expected around 18m2. Good housekeeping standard cos the room & bathroom is very clean. The bathroom reminds me of those you get in cruise cabins...plastic door and everything was designed to optimise space, ha!

Airport connectivity: We took the Airport Limo coach and it was a very pleasant journey. brings you right to the doorstep of Sunroute hotel. The ride took around 90 mins, per way cost JPY 3000 .

Location/Connectivity: Good location in Shinjuku, excellent if you are travelling out of Tokyo. There are many entrance/exits to Shinjuku station and the subway exit which is right beside hotel entrance is Toei Line (direct to Roppongi, Tsukiji market etc).

We took a day trip to Yokohama and it was extremely easy to get there. Take the Shonan-Shinjuku line (subway entrance is southern terrace exit, less than 5 mins walk from hotel), total journey took 35 mins excluding waiting time which is minimal. Cost JPY 540/way

If you are going to Harajuku / Shibuya, take the Yomanote line (circle). We discovered that Yoyogi station is just 200 metres away from the hotel and it's much pleasant to travel via this station than Shinjuku (which is crowded and complicated).

Room Tip: If you are fussy about room size, pick the Deluxe room :)

It's pretty much what it says on the tin. Yes, the room is tiny, but it's functional and does the job. It's clean, the air con is great, and there is a good view. If you are going to explore Tokyo and just want a comfy night sleep in an excellent location this is for you.

The hotel is right opposite Shinjuku West exit, and within 2 mins walk to the massive shopping complex (and in my opinion one of the best in Tokyo), the huge Takashimaya Time Square Mall. There is a Tokyu Hands, Kinokuniya book store as well as the huge Takashimaya department store where you can shop till you drop.

All in all, I wouldn't recommend for a romantic luxurious getaway if you are planning to spend a lot of time in your room, but like us, if you are there to explore the city, have great food and go shopping, at this price range, and location, this is for you!

Don't look anywhere. Book this hotel.

1) Airport bus - stop at hotel
2) Very reasonable price in Tokyo-Shinjuku
3) Reception Front- good English (Most busininess hotel in Japan- English problem)
4)Breakfast is good. But I have one time only. There is convenient store opposite the hotel (Family Mart)- cheaper.
5) Near Takashimaya Department Store- shopping, eating, and Bento.
Don't forget to register at tourist center. You get 5% off when paying in cash. ATM is on 5th floor for foreigner to cash money( a few dollars for debit card)
6) I applied for Hotel membership( 500 Yen). I can have late check out until 1 pm. And of course, I will stay here again next time.

What else you want more ?!?
