“Good location and big rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Stayed here (standard King City view) for 5 nights in Feb 13 with my wife and 2 kids aged 6 and 4. Hotel provided extra bed, and still plenty of space left in the room for luggages etc. Bath is spacious and quite luxurious. Good view from the room, on a clear day we can see Mt Fuji. TV selection was poor for English programmes, so the TV was rarely switched on. Room service was ordered for dinner and breakfast once. The quality was poor and prices was expensive. Easy to dine out as the hotel is 5 minutes walk away from Shibuya station, also behind the hotel there's a few eateries as well. Just to add, the hotel is located on a more 'quiet' and less busy part of Shibuya which was great! Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Loved our time there, will probably stay here again if I get the chance to visit Tokyo again.

“A great Japanese Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Cerulean Tower Tokyu has an amazing location, being only a few minutes walk from Shibuya 5 Ways. There is literally days worth of wandering around the Shibuya Streets. If you're feeling energetic, you could easily walk to Harajuku, or if you're feeling lazy, catch the Yamanoto line anywhere! Cerulean Tower provides excellent service, and assistance to make Japanese bookings was happily provided by the hotel. Some here say wifi should be free for a 5 star hotel, but having a fee keeps all the leechers off it! For a minimal fee, you can have wifi for all your devices, lightning fast! Restaurant service was also exemplary. We had a few drinks on Level 40 to take in the view (expensive, but worth it) and also had dinner at the Italian restaurant on L2 (Must more affordable). Breakfast at the restaurant is very busy and generally involves a wait. For only a few dollars more, choose room service and have a table delivered to your room!

Room Tip: All rooms have blackout curtains, don't be afraid to request east/west rooms. Northerly rooms e...

“Best Place, Warm Hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

My stay here was business trip in the end of winter

First impression was the strategic location and very kind staffs in all department

My room was Sky View in 29th floor, with a magnificent view of Mount Fuji

Room is spacious in Tokyo standard. I like the layout, where the working table is strategic and comfortable

Internet access is quite expensive. Stayed here for 4 nights, the connection had a problem on the 3rd. Staff doesn't understand English for technical problem

“Cerulean Tower Hotel is an oasis of calm and service in busy Tokyo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

My son and I stayed at the Cerulean tower hotel in Shibuya for 7 nights. We chose it after reading the reviews on trip advisor, Tokyo is huge but Shibuya is where the action is. The hotel is five minutes from Shibuya railway station, one of the biggest and busiest stations in Tokyo. If you arrive by train from Narita take the west or south exit. When you come out of the station look to the left and the tower is visible. Use the overhead walkways to reach the hotel. - there are lifts if you have luggage.

The reception is on the first floor but the rooms are on the 19th to 40th floor. Our non smoking room was on the 25th floor and had wonderful views of the area. The room is spacious with a spacious bathroom with lots of marble and a great shower.

The hotel charges for WiFi. It costs 3600 yen for a week. We were able to run a laptop, ipad and mobile phone in our room and the speed was excellent.

On the ground floor is the Caramelo restaurant where there is an excellent breakfast buffet. It might appear expensive but is a great way to start the day with excellent food. No one hurries you to leave and breakfast is served until 10.30am. Time to plan your day.

Without exception the staff are helpful and friendly. They make you feel welcome. We used the concierge service to book restaurants and seek directions. The staff remembered my name 24 hours later. This is Japan at its best.
On the second floor just outside the entrance is a very handy 7/11 convenience store. 7 bank has an ATM inside which works with overseas travel cards and other cards. Be aware few Japanese banks ATM will work with overseas cards, but the 7/11 chain works fine.

To sum up:
Whilst the Cerulean might appear expensive it is great value and a genuine 5 star hotel with service to match. Close to the railway station and all the action of Shibuya. You can get to all parts of Tokyo easily and the Narita express train to the airport stops at the station. This hotel is an oasis of calm and service with delightful staff. A stay here will not disappoint you.

“Perfect location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

If you are new to Tokyo and would want to avoid the hassel of familiarizing yourself with the spider-web metro network on your very first day upon arrival, you can simply take the airport shuttle which will take you direct from the Haneda/Narita Airport to Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel direct. It costs you 1,000 yen per person.

The room in Cerulean is spacious by the Japnanese standard. The shower and bath tub are enclosed behind a glass pane to avoid the steam transmitting into the rest of the bathroom.

If the weather is good, you can also get a glimpse of the Tokyo Tower from your own room. Request for a room on a high-floor zone if possible. It would enable you to have a better view of the entirety of the Shibuya area.

In terms of location, there should be no complaint. When you walk down from Cerulean (check from the lift), you should come across a pedestrian walkover (please watch for the FIRST). After you cross it you would find yourself landing in the Shibuya station. It is one of the biggest and busiest transit stations. You can get a day pass to save some money. Please make sure you get the correct line e.g. JR/Metro etc.

If you do not opt for breakfast in Cerulean, there are nice coffee shops and fast food shops around offering nice coffee and sandwiches to choose from to fuel youself in before staring a day for sight-seeing.

If you are starved, the basement floor in Tokyu Department Store is the best place to shop for fresh and reasonably priced sashimi and sushi.

Facing the Shibuya station and opposite to Tokyu Department Store is the popular shopping area of Shibuya. You will find 109 and Mark City close-by.

For food gourmets who look for better quality for dinner, there is a "food" street across the pedestrian cross-over (mentioned above) close to Mark City where you will be afforded with loads of choices varying from Japanese noodles (ramen), sushi, BBQ (korean style) and teppanyaki etc. It is only approximately 5 minutes away from Cerulean. If it takes you more than 10 minutes to get there, you are probably heading on the wrong direction.

Room Tip: High floor zone
