“Fantastic hotel in fantastic location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

We could not have asked for a better hotel! My partner and I stayed here for ten nights on our first trip to Tokyo and this hotel exceeded all of our expectations. Being a new hotel, all the amenities and room were clean and fresh, and no where did it smell of cigarettes (a rarity in Japan). The staff were very friendly and helpful, although they did not speak much English, and were always at the front desk.
The rooms are very small but that is to be expected in Tokyo, and even so, my partner and I had no problem living there for 10 days.
The best part of the hotel is the onsen they have located within. After getting over the initial shock of having to take all your clothes off, this was the perfect way to unwind after a long day around the city.
The location is fantastic! Right between Shibuya station and Harajuku, it was the perfect walking distance between the two major hot spots (approx. 10 min walk to Shibuya station).
I cannot recommend this hotel enough! It was perfect in every way, we could not have asked for anything more. We will definitely stay here again!
TIP: Print off a map to the hotel for when you arrive. This hotel is tucked away from the main road.

We couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Tokyo. In the middle of all the action - Shibuya and Harajuku and walking distance to Meiji Jingu shrine, it's a delightful little hotel with a very helpful staff. We stayed here twice - before and after our visit to Kyoto and they gladly stored all our luggage for us too.
The room sizes are small like all other Japanese hotels (we stayed at 5 different hotels in Japan) but very well equipped and super clean. The fact that it's so new also makes everything well upgraded.
One of our favorite things in the hotel was the complimentary breakfast. It was a wonderful Japanese + continental type breakfast with a wide variety of choices (they even have a vegetarian menu which was great for me). You must also try the great onsen bath facility (separate for men and women). Very relaxing at the end of the day.
Free laundry, 2 bottles of mineral water per day, free wi-fi in rooms etc. are some of the other comforts. Overall, well worth your money and highly recommended for tourists.

This hotel was great. Well placed to shibuya and harajuku. The staff were extremely helpful, breakfast was delicious & free noodles after 9pm! The onsen was a relaxing way to end each day. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to tokyo

Stayed here with my hubby for one week. This hotel is great and the staff are very helpful! They try really hard to understand your needs. They give you free breakfast every morning, and free ramen at night, and 2 free bottles of water per day, as well asl free washing machines with free laundry soap. Its a little far from Shibuya station (15 minutes), but very close to Meiji-Jingumae station (5 minutes), so if you have lots of luggage, get off at Meiji-Jingumae instead of Shibuya. The location is a little hard to find. It's on a little side street, off the main road so it's a little hard to find for the first time. The place is super clean, but the rooms are very small and all the tv stations are in Japanese. If you need to use the internet, there are 2 free computers downstairs for guests to use, and free wifi in the rooms. All in all, this hotel offers a lot in extra perks (compared to other hotels), the staff are great, rooms are clean. I would stay here again if I went back to Japan. The hotel has only 6 floors and the views are not great.

with the same price, if you don't mind to stay couple of (train) station away from Shibuya, you can actually find a bigger and nicer room. But if you'd like to stay close to Shibuya, this hotel is a good choice, it's pretty close to both Shibuya station or Meiji Jingumae station. The surrounding of the hotel itself is not so special, tucked in a small and quiet alley, but it's very safe in Japan so don't worry to go out even at night time, walk to Shibuya and you'll find everything you need in Tokyo.

i'd give a big poin for the breakfast, it's simple but everything served here is so fresh. In many hotel you usually see breakfast meals are a fast-food like, but not here, you will notice it from the first time you see the sandwich. First you'd pick up sandwich+soup from the entrace counter, then you go get juices, milk, yoghurt, fruits, salads, breads in the buffet counter. If you'd like to have more sandwich or soup, you can always go back to the entrance counter.

The staffs' service is great too. Eficient and full of smiles

a simple yet nice stay in Tokyo

I too booked after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. We are a family of 5 (2adults and 3 kids aged 18, 15 and 12) and needed 2 rooms. According to an on-line hotel booking website this hotel allowed 3 persons in a room so I booked through the on-line hotel booking website. I called the hotel booking site twice to ensure that although small, one of the rooms would be suitable for 3, a double with a roll away bed. However, on arrival Dormy Inn had only been informed that we had booked 2 double rooms neither of which could fit an extra bed. The hotel was brilliant, they allowed us to use a third room for the first night and on the second day made their biggest room into a triple, all at no extra charge.
The rooms are small but no smaller than a room I recently stayed in at The New Yorker Hotel in New York, USA for which I paid more.
The location between Shibuya and Harajuku suited us just fine. There were some restaurants really nearby too.
We stayed for a total of 8 nights, the proximity to the railway and the graveyard was no problem at all, we slept well every night. The breakfast was more than adequate, ramen in the evenings freshly cooked and delicious, free Wi-Fi a must have when travelling with teenagers. We did not find free Wi-Fi anywhere else in Tokyo, even Starbucks do not provide this service as they usually so elsewhere in the world.
I didn’t try the ladies onsen but my husband enjoyed the men’s bath and had it to himself both times he used it. I used the spa one evening for a reflexology session which was bliss after a long day sightseeing.
The concierge was very helpful, his English was very good although on occasions did not get to grips with exactly what it was that we were asking but he tried very hard and was so polite and calm he gets top marks from us.
I would highly recommend this spotless (think classy Premier Inn), quiet, well located, value hotel for anyone visiting Tokyo for business or for pleasure.

We stayed in 9-10 different places in Japan during our trip, and this was our favourite.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful - they helped us with extra pillows, towels and reservations at restaurants, and we never felt like it was too much trouble.

The onsen-style bath is very new and shiny, and the bath is filled with lemons - smells great.

The bed was very comfortable.

The breakfast was the best we found in Japan - the main part changes daily, and there are buffet-style sections for juices, fruits/vegetables, waffles and croissants.

It was much quieter than other places we stayed.

Location is pretty good - it's about halfway between Shibuya and Harajuku stations. Grab an umbrella if it's raining though!

The hotel is down a side street, and set back from the street a wee bit - I recommend using Google Street View and/or printing out a map for when you arrive, and for any taxi rides home.
