“shibuya crossing is a sight to see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

Shibuya is a busy vibrant area of Tokyo. The best time to see it is as night when it is full of neon lights.
My family wanted to see the Shibuya crossing which is just outside the station. I wasn't that interested in seeing people cross a road, but it was incredible. There are 5 roads meeting at the wide junction. At a certain point, all the lights change colour at the same time to stop cars and then the pedestrians have right of way to cross. It is a sight to behold. A good vantage point for this is from the upper window of the subway station, or from Starbucks café, if you can get a seat.
We went there on a wet day, when every single person carried an umbrella. What a sight it was to see hundreds of umbrellas going across the junction in all directions.

“Overcrowded district”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

An overcrowde district especially the rush hours with malls, restaurant and coffees shops around. A special characteristic is the advertisement by neon and the Hachiko statue outside of the shibuya station which is a famous meeting point.

“Fun for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

The fashions on the street were amazing and it was great to experience the modern culture of Japan. Good for shopping and a lot of international restaurants.

“Shopping shopping shopping”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

If you are in Tokyo to shop, Shibuya is a must-stop for you. I don't shop much but the window shopping was fun.
They have the '109' store. One building for men and one building for women. Each building has 7-8 floors filled with small stores. No brand names that I recognize really but they all had lots of cool stuff to offer. Some too taggy for my taste but fun to look at.

For all of the shopaholics this is a definite stop for you.
