If you've seen Lost in Translation, you know Shibuya. There are a lot of cool places in Tokyo, but Shibuya is one of the coolest - & craziest. If you're looking to see that side of Japan, Shibuya is the place for you, & this hotel is a basic, no-frills option that is completely reasonably priced. I live in Japan & have stayed here several times when I have traveled to Tokyo. It's a maybe a 5-7 minute walk from the train/subway station, & while it's on one of the main thoroughfares, it's up far enough that it's also still really quiet. The single rooms are quite tiny - per usual in Japan - but the other rooms can be surprisingly large. While most people in Japan speak little or no English at all, it has been my experience that the front desk staff here are able to help you with no problem, and each of the times I've stayed it has been smooth sailing.

This was a pretty standard city hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is great for Shibuya and for the station and to get about. It is quiet which is amazing when you look at where it is. Its not cheap for a fairly basic room but then Tokyo is quite expensive and so it really was pretty good value. It was clean.

We stayed in this hotel a month ago and it was in a fantastic location but the money we paid was definitely not worth it. The rooms were clean but seriously need to be renovated and brought into the 21st century!
I loved Tokyo and the people were very nice and friendly.
The bathroom in this hotel was strange because it was like a bathroom you would get in a caravan, however it was clean.
I would definitely recommend for location but it is far too expensive for what you get, so value for money is extremely dissapointing!

A perfect place to start you Tokyo days! Hotel has great location in the heart of Shibuya and it brings you right to the heart of the buzzing Tokyo. Still the hotel is peaceful and clean haven in that wild world. Only about 500m from Shibuya station (exit Hachiko). Huge selection of shops and restaurant to choose with. I even tried many restaurant with no english menus and was indeed well-fed... Also sights in other western areas of Tokyo are easily reachable. Very good price/value!
