“Good before early flight, clean, functional”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012 via mobile

Stayed before a 6am flight, and happily caught the free 4:30am shuttle bus. Clean, modernish, functional, free Internet in rooms etc. had a reasonable and brief stay. Rooms are the size you would expect in/around Tokyo: small. But ok.

Warning: don't grab a taxi from downtown tokyo unless your happy paying 8000JPY, £70, or $100 etc. it's also quite complicated getting into the city otherwise. Hve to get to monorail, and then do subways once you get there.

Didn't try breakfast.

We stayed at the JAL Haneda hotel for one night in anticipation of a very early flight the next morning.

I can't help but think that this hotel takes advantage of travellers who need to be at Haneda airport for a very early flight. Trains from Shinjuku did not run early enough for us to make our flight from our original hotel so stayed here the night before our own flight.

The hotel is comfortable and reasonably clean, but just a little bit too expensive for what it provides.

The shuttle service is invaluable. As we had one of the first morning flights out of Haneda, it was necessary for us to be able to get to the airport quickly and easily and this service provides this.

This hotel is just a very expensive budget hotel like Daiwa Roynet or Richmond. Next time I'll stay in my normal hotel and take a taxi to the airport as it is not worth it to change hotel for one night. Double the price compare to Richmond or Toyoko Inn

A convenient stopping point for an early flight, there's a free transfer bus and it takes just 7 mins to the international terminal. I think, but please don't rely on this, the first bus is at 4:10am, then 4:30am (this one definitely exists as we caught it) and then I think it's hourly thereafter.

If you do stay here as per the review below the best route is to get the train to Anamori-Inari (on the Keikyua railway airport line from Shinagawa). Also, do have a wander around / eat in a restaurant in one of the streets around this station.

The booking system seems a bit puzzling, we wanted a non-smoking double room of any size for one night. Didn't seem to be available on the internet, or when we arrived at reception. About 10 minutes later they seemed to have found one from somewhere, not sure where...

Also, I second the comment below about the pillows being very odd and very hard!

- clean rooms, decent bathroom, small but we used it to crash the night before a very early flight,
- free shuttle from terminals to the hotel and back (TIP: to catch it from T1 you need to exit from the arrivals level, find bus stop 9 then cross the road and wait in the little carpark)
- looks like it had a nice lobby area, bar and also a computer for checking in for your flight
- very odd and very hard pillows

This is of course a very convenient airport hotel, located next to Haneda. What I like about this hotel is that although rooms are small, they are perfectly formed, and very clean. This is not the right place to stay if you are planning to visit Tokyo or Yokohama for a few days, this is the place to stay if your getting in very late, or leaving very early from Haneda airport.

I know some tripadvisors have had some negative things to say about this hotel but I really like it. Yes it is a long way from town but perfect for the one night if you are arriving late or leaving early. After 3 weeks of staying in everything from 5 stars to virtually camping out in China and Japan this is a nice option. The room is larger than in other Japanese hotels and the bed is great. But the thing I really like is that in contrast to the hustle and bustle of a large Asian city (Tokyo) just across the street from the hotel and the train station (Animoriinari) is a lovely quaint neighborhood. I have enjoyed walking around where people smile at you and its almost like you are a local for the time you are here. There are several local restaurants (right across the street) serving the locals and if you have a dictionary you can figure out what to eat. Plus there are the usual convenience stores if you prefer to have sake and eat in your room. I suggest these options over the hotel restaurant which charges 3 times what the locals do.
