“Great apartment hotel in Tokyo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2014

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two and a half weeks. As others have mentioned in their reviews, it had more floor space than we thought. It had a separate bedroom, living room, kitchenette, bathroom and balcony. We appreciated having a washing/drying machine to do laundry and have access to Wi-Fi. The hotel staff were extremely helpful with helping us order food or get a taxi. They do have a limited breakfast (cereal, bread, milk, coffee, juice) and you can bring food up to your room to eat. Just be sure to bring your plates, cups, and utensils down after you are done. You have easy access to a grocery store and the Tokyo Tower if you need a quick bite to eat. You can walk to Roppongi or several of the subway stations. If we were to visit Tokyo again, Somerset Azabu East would be on the top of our list of places to stay.

This apartment hotel is the complete opposite of what I have heard of Japanese hotels. It was a great stay at this hotel for the week I was there with a fabulous amount of space, separate bedroom, living room, kitchen and balcony. Located close to Roppongi it is easy to get around Tokyo from.

I stayed here for three weeks for a business trip. comfortable room of a decent size, close to several restaurants. Pool is still closed, but workout room is well equipped. Breakfast is the bare minimum.

I travel to Tokyo regularly and this is by far the best place I have stayed. Not your average Tokyo apartments, these are something special, decent size beds, enough space to swing a cat, quality furnishings, on site gym and pool, sound proofed rooms, super helpful staff, if only all places in Tokyo were like this.

Room Tip: Try and get a corner room

Beginning November 1, 2013, The indoor pool will be shut down for economical reasons: breakfast is a little weak but enough: very clean: TV/cable is outdated as are the restrooms and bath: excellent location and view: currently construction of a 14 story high building going on so if you don't mind workers peering into your rooms on the upper floors occasionally you will be fine.

If you're staying in Tokyo for an extended period (30 day min.) this is a wonderful choice. The rooms are HUGE in comparison to regular hotel rooms. We stayed in a premier studio and it felt like a good sized apartment with kitchen, washer/dryer,etc.

PROS:
Great central location, close to Oedo train line
HUGE rooms
Nice staff
Free breakfast (very basic though)
Medium size safe in room (big deal for those with laptops, iPads, etc)
Tokyo Tower is next door
Beautiful neighborhood
Right next door to a park
Walk to Zojoji Temple in 5 min

CONS:
Could have been a little cleaner, chairs/couch had some stains, rice cooker had some old rice still stuck in it.
No fancy Toto in bathroom
Most staff members are super nice but some are not great with concierge type requests. The female staff were generally more helpful and efficient when it came to making reservations, getting directions, etc.
Balcony is tiny, more like an escape hatch. But nice if you want to let some fresh air into room.

TIP: Make a right when leaving the hotel, walk a couple blocks and you'll find a great pizza restaurant (blue and white decor) with good lunch specials. Walk a another half block and you'll find a great Cali style Mexican restaurant (O&J, open weekday evenings only). These are both before Kamiyacho station.

Room Tip: Ask for park view, you can see Tokyo Tower!!

Place is about 5min walk from Hiroo station.
Building itself seems a bit old but clean and tidy. I could here from my room neighbour door banging and cleaning staff chatting but it was not too bad.
Reception was kind. It was relaxig stay.
