“Great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

I was lucky! I went on a day excursion to visit this tower. Great panoramic views of Tokyo. On a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji.

“Old charm”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Tokyo Tower has been around a while and if you like me enjoy tall structures with observation areas then Tokyo Tower is a must visit. The view on a fine day is really great and it is also near by a few other attractions so a morning sighteeing in the area is worth the effort. For me morning is the best time to visit as it is less crowded if you are early enough

“View from the top”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

This is the older tower since there is another newer and taller tower just opened in May 2012. However, this place is still attractive and the view from the top is very good on a clear day.

“Great view of Tokyo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

I went there over the weekend on a Saturday just after sun down, and I've to say, there wasn't much of a queue. Maybe I was late, but doesn't matter. There are apparently a mid-way and the utter most top. Your first ticket would let you go mid way, that is where I spent all my time at. The view was just spectacular! A 360 view of Tokyo! And in order to go to the utter most top, a second fee is needed and waiting time even at a non peak time was a min 45 min wait. Which was a real shock. I didn't bother with it as I was rushing for a dinner reservation. But What a view I must say..

“Tokyo Tower at sunset”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

If possible, try to get here in time to up in the tower for sunset. The contrast between daytime Tokyo and nighttime Tokyo is interesting. Personally I find nighttime to be more intriguing, but if you have time to spare, you can stay all day until closing if you like - they will not kick you out otherwise.

However, I recommend that you get back down to the ground before they shut off the orange/yellow floodlights at 20:00. They turn on dimmer purple bulbs after that but they are not as pretty, in my opinion.

Most sights in Tokyo close before sunset so Tokyo Tower is a great way to cap a day of sightseeing before dinner. It's also easily accessed by subway or bus.
