“Good Location and a Warm Welcome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

This hotel is excellently located - close to the metro, JR lines and the monorail to Haneda airport. When we arrived we received a warm and friendly welcome and the staff couldn't have done more to be helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

The room was spacious (for Tokyo!) and comfortable. We found the place spotlessly clean and the cleaning ladies took a shine to our young son which he found very pleasing!

If I had one negative it was that if you are traveling for business (as I often do) then the wifi in the rooms isn't really quick enough to work easily. If you are on holiday though, and just want to check your e-mails then it's fine. There is also free, quicker Internet in the lobby.

Overall I would return here the next time I travel to Tokyo with family.

Room Tip: Try and get a room in the new anex building off the main street. These rooms have been refurbished...

Stayed at the hotel for two nights, as part of a tour of Japan. Hotel very comfortable and clean, and has a good choice of Japanese breakfast, or Western. The hotel has free wi fi , in the lobby. The hotel is also in walking distance of the Tokyo underground (Daimon station) which links to the rest of the underground network.

Stayed a great four nights at this hotel. the staff were super friendly and efficient, really helpful. Conveniently located, a 'relatively' short walk from the JR station rolling suitcases. The split building for the hotel, entering the main building only to walk out again and across the road to the 'Annex' to get to check in, was a bit disconcerting at first, but okay.

The staff are more than helpful in providing directions to various tourist sites and ringing tour companies to make enquiries/bookings. The restaurants are great! I highly recommend the 'lady's box' at the Japanese restaurant!

We stayed here for two nights on our arrival in Japan, not having been here before. The staff were very kind, helpful and patient. The room was a little shabby, but perfectly adequate in every way. Japanese toilets are an amazing experience.... We didn't eat in at the hotel, as it seemed a little expensive. However, there are a multiplicity of restaurants close by. Tricky if you don't eat meat. The location is great - very close to Daimon station.

Room Tip: Make sure your non-smoking room really IS non-smoking, and not just wishful thinking. Insist that it...

I wasn't expecting too much from a so called budget hotel, but we were treated like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone going to Tokyo. The metro was so close and easy to get to anywhere. Close by was Tokyo Tower and Shiba Park and Shrine. Also plenty of convenience stores for fresh and cooked food and other needs. Also Mos Burger and Starbucks very close by!
Our only complaint was that we had to go home :(

Room Tip: We asked for a non-smoking level/room and had absolutely no hint of smoke during our stay.

I stayed at the Shiba Park Hotel with a friend at the beginning of an organised tour in Japan. We were very pleased with the welcome and the hotel amenities, and the location is great in a nice quiet street but handy for the subway and JR line. The hotel staff are excellent and friendly, and breakfast was great. We returned to Tokyo 2 weeks later and had booked into another hotel in Meguro, which was such a disappointment that we moved after one night and returned to Shiba Park Hotel - both of us felt as if we had returned home!

I recently spent 6 weeks in Japan on business, based in Tokyo where I took up residence at the Shiba Park Hotel. The hotel is well located just under Tokyo Tower in an area with easy commute to all parts of the city and beyond. It's very comfortable, with all amenities (fridge, electric kettle, availability of washing machine and drier, etc.) and the staff are friendly, helpful, efficient and diligent. The surrounding area is packed with small restaurants - one can actually have a delicious lunch or dinner in a different place every day without walking more than 5 or 10 minutes. Not great for shopping, but those areas are just a few underground stops away. The nearby Shiba Park and Zojoji Temple are wonderful places for a Sunday morning stroll (there are great coffee shops too). It took me no time to feel at home in Minato-ku!

Room Tip: The top floor (12th) in the Annex has great spacious rooms - slightly more expensive but worth the v...
