“Ideal base for Tokyo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

Spent nine nights at this hotel in a single room and it was great.

If you're into glitz and glamour you'll need to look elsewhere as it is basically a functional, business style hotel. Having said that though, I couldn't fault it. The rooms were of good size as was the bathroom and they were immaculately clean. Everything is catered for in the room - free wired internet, tea making facilities, tv, etc. There are also numerous other facilities provided by the hotel including food vending machines, a laundry room and a reasonable buffet breakfast.

The hotel staff are excellent and speak good English and will go out of their way to help you. The reception area also has free bottles of water for guests and free wi-fi should the wired internet access in your room elude you.

The hotel is within a five minute walk from the subway station which will get you into the heart of Tokyo speedily. The Tokyo transport system is just sensational.

To get to the hotel from Narita airport, get the NEX to Shibuya and not Tokyo as Shibuya is on the Ginza subway line which is the same line as the hotel. At Shibuya i'd recommend getting a Suica card to use on the underground and then head up the stairs to the Ginza line heading towards Asakusa. You'll need to go three stops to Aoyama-Itchome (G4). Once there look for the yellow information signs on the subway wall and head for exit 4 south. The hotel is mentioned on the information boards. Go out exit 4, up the stairs and cross over the pedestrian crossing. Once on the other side of the road, go right and the hotel is in a side road on your left about five minutes away in a road opposite the curry place.

Great hotel and will be my place of choice for future Tokyo visits.

The location is fantastic, easy walk to train and shops. Rooms are small but liveable and very clean. The staff were helpful & English not a problem. We've stayed here twice and would happily do so again

This hotel has a great location, just five minutes walk from the closest subway station. It is in walkable distance to Tokyo Midtown and Roponggi Hills. The room is clean, comfortable and with network (just need to bring a portable router for free wifi). Staff at reception speaks good English. Breakfast is also great. I saw many international travellers. I stayed here for 4 nights and no complaints.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. There is free internet in the rooms but wired only, free wifi in the lobby. Good breakfast selection in the restaurant.
As others have said one of the things that stands out is the service, all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
When I first booked the hotel I thought the location didn't look that convenient, however it's less than 5 minutes walk to a station served by 3 metro lines.
The hotel website has some very clear directions for getting in from the airports. My recommendation on arriving in Tokyo would be to read up on the baggage delivery services from the airports and take a stress free metro journey with hand luggage only!

This is a very good choice if you are on a budget, looking for a hotel near the train station and with no smoking rooms.

Room:
- Small (15sqm) but very clean.
- Interesting that they got everything we needed in such a small room - tv, kettle, hair dryer, ref. It was convenient enough for 2 people.
- Bed and pillows are comfortable as well.
- you may opt for late checkout (normal is 11am, late checkout 2pm) but have to pay the fee in advance (if your room is available)

Hotel:
- You may get bottled water anytime near the reception area (no daily limit :))
- (Self service) laundry room
- Ice dispenser and Vendo Machines
- Really helpful staff. Can speak english.

Breakfast:
- They serve the same breakfast buffet selection every day. Would be good if the breakfast is included in your room rate since it costs about 950 YEN to pay for it there. But you may opt not to get it if you're staying for a long time as if may be tiresome to eat those everyday.
- Selection includes: egg (scrambled and hard boiled), bacon, sausage, steamed fish, miso soup, rice, porridge, japanese side dishes, vegetable salad, yogurt, breakfast cereals, 1 fresh fruit, fruit cocktail, 4 types of bread with choices of 3 jams and butter, coffee, tea, 3 juice flavors.

Location:
- about 100 meters away from the train station Aoyama-Itchome (but remember that you need to walk 50-100m inside the station to the exit).
- From Aoyama-Itchome, there are 2 Family MArt Convenient stores that you'll pass before reaching the Hotel side street.
- 1.5 km / 15-20 mins by foot to Roppongi.
- Before reaching Roppongi station, you'll find Tokyo Midtown where you'll find a garden (with cherry blossom trees :)

Room Tip: The rooms in this hotel are non-smoking. But they have a smoking area. If you are sensitive to cigar...

I am from Thailand. I took my family to Tokyo for business and vacation. I have some experiences staying in many hotels in Japan. The Asia Center of Japan may not be a big hotel. However, the service is so GREAT. They service the customer with friendly mind. I do fully recommend this hotel to your guys who are looking for the hotel of mid-size+reasonable price+very clean room+great service. :-)

Hi! This was my first visit to Tokyo and I enjoyed staying at this hotel.

The rooms are small, just like probably most hotels in Tokyo but they are not so bad. It was clean and had everything we needed. Yes, they do have those interesting Japanese toilets..it is worth a try!

Internet access was free in the lobby and they had free bottles of water. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The International Breakfast was fun. Don't expect the world's greatest breakfast but it was certainly good enough. They bake their own croissants and had some tasty fruit.

The metro station is close and it is full of shops and restaurants. We went to Subway there several times to get a quick bite to eat.

I would stay here again and I would recommend it for the price/value.
