“Convenience with a view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

This is one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed at in the past year and that includes some Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton's. The view is absolutely incredible. I am on the 20th floor. Wifi in the spacious room. Beds are nice and soft. I have noticed that most of the hotels that I have stayed at in Japan the last 2 weeks have had some fairly hard beds.
There are malls galore with food courts just outside our front door. My teens could spend days there. Subway station just downstairs as well. Larger than average gift shop downstairs that is open 24 hours and the prices are shockingly reasonable. I always just assume that I am going to pay through the nose at hotel stores.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily book it again.

Awesome location within close proximity of 3 malls which offer plenty of shopping and dining options. Rooms are spacious and has a stunning view overlooking the bay. Hotel has all the amenities of a 5 star establishment including the Japanese special loos with heated seats, spray and deodorisers.

This hotel is located conveniently near the business area at Daiba, right next to Daiba station. I come here to attend an exhibition and it appears to be a good choice except:
1. Hygiene - found 3 cockroaches crawling beside my bed over the 2 nights.
2. Staff could not understand my complaint about the bugs in English.

As a 5 star hotel aimed to serve international visitors, I believe the management can do better than this, especially the hygiene part. I was really surprised to find them in a hotel in Japan.

Note to Hotel: please provide instructions in English on how to operate the room's Zojirushi brand hot water kettles. The buttons on mine were labeled only in Japanese.

Zojirushi is a well-respected brand that I associate mostly with high-end rice cookers, and indeed my room's electric kettle resembled a miniature rice cooker. I figured out how to operate it on my 2nd morning, but would've appreciated some guidance.

Hotel is large and grand (like its name). Rooms are very clean and luxe. I could have stayed there forever!

Odaiba is a fun place to explore. Take the free Bay Shuttle which stops outside the hotel every 15 minutes.

Room Tip: select a room with a view of Rainbow Bridge

Hotel is well located for tourists if they like shopping centres. When travelling to city or attraction need to change trains and or water bus which adds to journey time with delays between timetable
Hotel does not have a guest laundry
Breakfast only available from 700am - 1000 am even on weekends
Menus are big on buffets with additional pricing on weekend
No coffee shop options for breakfast or simple light breakfast menus
Very busy on weekends
Bar very expensive
During summer rooms become quite light early even with doos and blinds closed
Limited english language TV stations with very limited news movie documentary coverage
Not ideal for business travel

On a recent trip to Japan lasting 17 days. We (4 adults) stayed at this Hotel for 6 nights at end of May 2013. We found that this hotel was well located though a 15 to 25min trip by train to Downtown. There are lots to see in the area from fantastic architecture to large shopping malls. There is even a beach nearby though not for swimming. Cruises can be taken around the harbour and is worth a couple of hours to get an overall view of the area. We did not have breakfast there but instead got our supplies next door. Great location especially if you want to be away from the crowds sometime.
