“A convenient business hotel, with some drawbacks to be aware of”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

This hotel is conveniently located if you have business in the Shinagawa area.
It is clean and comfortable, rooms are reasonable in size except in the oldest part (East Tower?) where your bed fits, and your legs to go around it, but not much more.

Warning 1:
-Be aware that Internet means Ethernet cable access and buy one of these simple Ethernet-WiFi routers (priced 3000 yens in electronic shops around Akihabara station) so that you can connect all your appliances, phones, tablets, PC.

Warning 2:
-do not hope to get a comfortable time at breakfast at this hotel. You would have to queue for breakfast, and sit in a crowded self-service area. If you have not allowed more than 1 hr, you may either end-up skipping your cosy breakfast or arrive late at your meeting, which is not advised in Japan.
Recommendation: never have breakfast at this hotel. You can have it in your room. Your favourite instant coffee can be bought in convenience shops in the station or near the hotel, you can also get breakfast food, including milk, fruit and yogurt there. Alternatively, starbucks, segafredo, and three other cafes are a more reasonable choice to get a quiet morning breakfast without queuing.

Warning 2:
-The only problem of the hotel is its queuing for anything. Here is my tip: get your Prince Hotel "Prince Club" card online, and bring it or a copy of it, so that you can queue in the short queue for members.
Useful at check-in and check-out in particular.
The card also gives access to late check-out and probably early check-in (never needed it).

Recommendation:
-instead of using the costly fitness center, bring your running attire and jog around or to the top of the neighbouring Takanawa Hill. You can also run to the Old Tokkaido street, with a nice village atmosphere, and reach a canal along which it is nice to run or walk.

Room Tip: Ask for a Mount Fuji View Non-smoking can be specified. Think of the benefits of a high floor (vie...

The plus of this hotel is the very convenient location in front of Shinagawa station and the 4 choices for Breakfast I love to have options and Prince did the job just good.

Being my first time in Japan I had no idea what to expect from hotel side, I had hear a lot of stories but all that was clear out. for a fast biz trip experience is excellent.
The room was very small compared to any hotel I've stayed before, but looks like for Japan standard that is the norm, comfortable bed, small TV screen, little desk, but enough to set the computer and complete some work. No coffee pot but instead is a tea pot.
Bathroom is extra small but me being 6.1 it was a little room to accommodate in the shower. ;-)
So Desu ne for my trip

Downside? you can listen to most of the noise in the next room.... :-(

Room Tip: last room in the floor will be fine, very away from the elevator, otherwise you listen to all people...

..placed in strategical position, close to the Shinagawa train station, in only 5 minutes by walking you can catch any JR line (Yamamote, Shinkansen, etc.), Keiyo (direct to Haneda airport), etc. ..it represents an ideal solution for staying in the city and move quickly for business..the structure is huge, not so modern and there are many towers not so close each other..I was luck because I stayed in the N-Tower, the less crowed and more modern, in the other towers there are many shops, restaurants (opened not only to the hotel guests) and rooms..in the N-Tower, the rooms are good, very clean, with a good safety box, a good bathroom with its kit (there is a lack of body cream), an electric kettle and the internet connection by cable or Wi-Fi..the amenities are spread around the towers..the gym is in another hotel not so close to the main structure and the swimming pool, in the main tower, it is not big and the opening hours didn't fit my business hours ..however it represents an ideal solution for business because you can arrange informal meeting at some bars..the personnel is very kind and professional, available to make flexibile reservations in case you need to arrange business trip for only one day out of Tokyo..you have to pay attention on selecting the right restaurant for your breakfast..the biggest is hapuna, always crowed unless you go there before 7am, there is a wide range of several food available and sometimes, due to the number of people very hungry, there could be a lack of some dishes..there are different opening hours for the breakfast and different restaurant opened based on the day and the number of guests..I strongly suggest you to try all different restaurant once and in my opinion an amazing experience is to have breakfast at the top of Shinagawa, at the 39th floor, in an exclusive and quiet environment..I never tried to have dinner in any restaurant inside because I always preferred to have dinner in "some" typical restaurant that you can find in Tokyo..the structure, especially the N-Tower, is very close to a shopping mall, with many shops and restaurant..the prices are aligned to the other hotels nearby..

If South of Tokyo is your preference,Prince hotel is a convenient choice.Just opposite to Shinagawa rail station it makes a great convenience for connectivity. You can't think of Tokyo without Japan Rail and this factor is highly valued by all.
The hotel is reasonable with huge area for shops, bowling alley and theatre.More attraction of Aqua games make it fun filled stay adjoining.Staff is cooperative with true Japanese hospitality-courteous,smiling and responsible.I am sure the selection of Japan for 2020 Olympics was possible because of these hotels' strength.

Room Tip: Choose the main tower, not annexe

The room was on the 36th floor - it was extremely quiet inside - not a fridge or AC sound or outside. I am a light sleeper, so it was perfect. You can see a Fuji mountain actually from the window. Everything was always clean. Please check the drawers for the robes there are slippers in the closet; Japanese type tea cups and a kettle. You'll find 2 different types of tea, but no coffee. It's actually written down on the kettle that there is a fresh water inside, so you only need to plug.

There were many disposable toiletries, wrapped separately; which they bring every day: toothbrush with tooth paste; 2 types of combs for shorter hair; hair elastic, a cap. Good quality shampoo, body wash and conditioner in big bottles on the bath tub.

Needless to say, that the toilets are heated with the installed showers and bidet - so much fun for a western person.

The down point was NO WI-FI; and they check in their guests pretty much close to 2 p.m. You can leave your suitcases in the Baggage storage while waiting.

It's situated next to 7 Eleven, McDonalds, across from Shinagawa Station with a Food Market in the basement and another store across this one. Though food and beer are less expensive in the basement; you'll find A LOT of meals there - ready to eat on your way to the hotel, if you want.

Room Tip: the higher the better

Stayed here for 2 nights for a study abroad program. Terrific location with the Shinagawa station very close. There was so much to do within walking distance and on the property. We stayed in the cheaper rooms, which were quite small, but what else do you expect in Tokyo? The hotel was very busy at all times I was there. Breakfast was very good, with a huge buffet.
