“Business hotel with value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

I stayed here for 2 nights on the 35th floor. The room was clean and the beds are type Asian (hard) comfort. A number of nice pillows is included. It’s. close to Shinagawa train station, make communications easy. There are lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood or just a few stations away. The breakfast buffet is large and has good selection of Western and Asian food. The coffee are drinkable. This is a typical medium/standard hotel and it’s location make it easy to reach all kinds of destinations within the city. The service is of acceptable Japanese standard, helpful and polite. The price per night was ok.

It’s like so many other cookie-cutter Japanese business hotels, but about eight times as big. The rooms themselves are adequate in typical salaryman style. Just a few minor complaints. The soap makes your hands smell for hours, and the pillows feel like they’ve been filled with soybeans. The garbage cans are the size of flower vases.

That said, I kind of like this place, and stay here often.

It’s clean and convenient — and normally of decent value. If you book at the right time, rooms are available for $100 USD per night. And you’re right in the heart of heartless Shinagawa. Fly into Haneda, and you can check into your room at the Prince 30 minutes later.

Around the hotel, there’s little in the way of restaurants or shopping. But you’re right on the JR Yamanote line, which connects most key parts of the city.

Not great first impression, arrived jet lagged to be told we needed to pay 2500 yen to check in "early" -it was 12.45 and check in is 2!, 500 yen per night wi-fi(this was worth it ) and 2000 yen per night to"upgrade" to a double bed- we declined the latter.
However all improved thereafter, room 27 th floor overlooking station with view of tower , skytree and Shinkansen, room small but all in there -fridge , safe, tv- only Japanese including CNN dubbed into Japanese - very odd. Toilet a thing of wonder with controls on arm!
Beds firm -how we like it, ordered xtra pillows which came - free of charge!
Location is superb 2mins from station , metro and JR train easy and cheap. Lots of restaurants around but we ate in hotel on each of our 3 nights, all v different, ramen food court , cheap and cheerful, 39th floor Italian-ish, and the best was Japanese on 38th floor. Not cheap but no worse than London or Rome for example.
Everyone is so helpful and polite . There is 7-11 on ground floor and lots of shops in station.
Vending machines everywhere what a great idea, Would recommend this hotel, we are going back for 1 night before leaving Japan, and this time we,ll go for that double room!
A word of warning if going on Gray Line tour to Mount Fuji - they will not accept pregnant women -sulphur apparently, so don,t book or don,t tell as they will not budge and it may ruin your day.

Room Tip: Higher the better

Nice hotel. A bit expensive, especially when you are in the smaller rooms (i think it was in the south tower)
You must take a drink at the sky bar! Fantasic view over Tokyo!
Also location wise, it is very good located, about 500m from the shinkansen station

This hotel was the first stop on a pre-booked tour of Japan and so we had no choice about where we stayed. However having already been in Tokyo for two days and staying in a cheerful but tiny hostel it was nice to find ourselves in a room with enough space that you could actually put your arms out to either side and not be touching both walls at the same time!

It was a really nice hotel with easy access to the subway system and plenty of shops and restaurants to suit all budgets tastes. It is quite disorientating trying to find your way to the hotel itself through all the warren of restaurants and shops that are part of it but once you've done it once you'll find yourself wondering why it was such a struggle the first time.

They had a brilliant luggage service and after we'd checked out we felt very comfortable leaving our huge rucksacks with them whilst we went off and explored.

If we had the budget for it we'd definitely stay here again should we ever visit Tokyo again.

Excellent hotel for both Narita and Haneda airport. Easy access to Tokyo by JR train as well as Shinbashi areas for food and entertainment. All in all, excellent value for Japan and the only downside is no wifi in room or public areas. This is the hotel I have been staying in Tokyo for the last 10 years! Never disappointed.
