“Lovely hotel rooms a little outdated”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

I stayed here for a few days last week and it is a lovely hotel with a very high standard of customer service, food and choice is excellent. I think the only thing that lets it down was the room, old fashioned and in need of updating.

I was recently in Tokyo for a business trip and I stayed at the Ana InterContinental. The hotel is quite nice, and the service is definitely top notch. A few things bugged me - I booked the hotel from IHG's own web site and was offered a special price for booking and paying ahead of time. I did this. When I got to the hotel, they told me my package did not include breakfast and wireless internet. Both these were features of the hotel, but because I had chosen the special it was removed, which I was unaware of. Not a big deal - I paid for breakfast and bought internet and neither was very expensive but I was surprised by it. Other than that, the hotel was a good example of typical 4/5 star hotels. Having just stayed in an excellent hotel in Hong Kong I think these old style hotels will be gone in time and wlll be replaced with more modern hotels.

For sure this is not your boutique & charming hotel where you expect uniqueness. But sometimes even corporate hotels fail and this one certainly does not.

I have stayed in other places in Tokyo and this was a very good sized room, amenities ok, temperature control, quiet enough, everything up to standards.

I did order room service and that left a bit to be desired in terms of how food was described and what was actually delivered. Breakfast however was really great! Lots of choices, fresh juices and good service.

There is a champagne bar and plenty of restaurants and I think the location is ok but definitely taxis are needed.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms.

İt is situated in a business district, linked well to the popular turist attractions in Ginza or Shinjuku areas. There is a metro station nearby but we have to use taxis particularly at night. There is also restaurants and bars around the hotel.
Efficiently run corporate hotel with Japanese hospitality; staff are helpful; hotel facilities from internet connection to the restaurants and bars are quite acceptable: the rooms are not big but good size and clean. The hotel provides traditional Japanese kimonos so on for quests as well as coffee and tea facilities in the room. However rooms on the left side gets 24/7 traffic noise from the motorway down below. The breakfast is just good. There is also direct bus link from the Narita airport to the hotel, If one does not mind staying in a large corporate hotel, it is all fine, however if one does prefer smaller hotels with a personal touch should look elsewhere in Tokyo.

Great, friendly property close walking distance to Akasaka business area and close to numerous subway lines. Numerous restaurants within a close walk along with a fifteen minute walk to the Roppongi entertainment area. Excellent hotel, excellent location with friendly and accommodating staff.

Stayed here twice this year. Got upgraded due to my Platinum Ambassador status with IHG. Especially the renovated rooms on the higher floors are very nice, clean and provide a stunning view. The bar on top is awesome, but expensive (also amazing views). Subway station is located just around the corner. Would def coming back.

Everything is expansive in Tokyo but Ana Intercontinental in roppongi area is reallly expansive for small rooms and for some offre them very old especially for bathrooms ,
Food is Good especially breakfast and service is professional as far you don't ask for something special as always in Japan !
