“One of my local favorites!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Umegaoka is great! They have very tasty sushi. Yes, they do not have as much selection as some other places, but instead of trying to overwhelm you with lots of choices they focus on what actually tastes good! Most of the Sushi they do have is very good, though maybe some people who are used to eating Americanized sushi won't like it as much =( (never had American sushi, just saying).

Anyways you should come to Umegaoka if you are looking for good sushi!!!!!

“Not bad and good for gaijin whose budget is limited”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

We used to go to their headquarters in Midorigaoka, Odakyu Line. Like the HQ, the sushi served here is not sophisticated. However, it would suit for gaijin who wants to eat larger portion. It would also suit for taking kinds. However, if you are thinking of business dinner for clients then you better go to a proper Sushi restaurants. Nonetheless, they serve a fresh cut of fish.

“pretty good sushi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

The restaurant is located on the 2d floor of the Akasaka Biz Tower, just outside of the Akasaka stop on the Chiyoda line. The varieties of sushi available were more limited than in some local sushinrestaurants, but the quality of the fish was very high, and the preparation and presentation were inventive

“Sushi Fantasy realized!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

The long queue is a sign of the good things inside that bamboo themed restaurant. Although the wait can be long because of the numbers, the staff are very efficient in making sure everyone gets a seat as soon as possible. Inside the restaurant, everyone enjoys their sushi feast, but no one is made to eat food in a hurry. I am amazed by the efficiency of the Japanese people. Truly amazing. The food were fresh and divine. The chefs serving us at the bar, were also friendly and accomodating. We went twice. That good.

“Better eat little bit of best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

Wherever you go+dine Western countries, better go to restaurant where the owner is chef. If you go chain or reasonable priced menu restaurant with good enough portion, you eat all kinds of chemicals. Yes, Japanese SUSHI also. So even this restaurant or fine SUSHI bar in TSUKIJI=fish market, order little bit of highest priced items. for your life.
