I have said this in another review but problem with Japan is the food quality benchmark is so high even at the most basic of restaurants that the chief distinguishing factor between a cheap venue and an expensive one is the presentation and ambience. Kenzan was superb but (and perhaps as it was Christmas day) the ambience was lacking to justify the spend. I will return on my next trip to Tokyo and see if a different evening and try something other than the christmas day set menu. Hopefully this will produce a more justified spend for the evening.
