I've stayed at a weekly mansion (Ueno) and I liked the convenience of it so this time I chose to stay at this one with my husband. I chose the hotel for its location and the room size. It is five minutes walk to Akasaka on Chiyoda Line, eight minutes to Tameike Sanno and ten minutes to Akasakamituske on Ginza Line.. There are lots of restaurants, convenience stores and super markets in the neighborhood. The hotel itself is a little tricky to find but actually it is very simple from Akasaka metro station, just straight down the street. Although a construction was going next door it was quiet at night. The hotel itself looks like an old apartment building. It has variety of room sizes. We stayed in a single C room with a 140cm bed, a fridge, a sink with a cooker, a desk, a chair, a sofa and a coffee table. It also has a built-in bookcase type of storage and a dresser drawer so there are ample storage facilities in a pretty large room with a small veranda. It has old fashioned ceiling lights and the air/heat machine worked well. Overall it was comfortable to stay but as the other weekly mansion the bathroom is very small and it took a little getting used to but it was functional. The room seemed to have been cleaned well but I realized that a small area around the mini fridge seemed to have been neglected for sometime. The wall and the furniture showed its age. The hotel has everything we need such as coin laundry, free computer and vending machine. If they do renovation it would improve a great deal.
I'd like to mention that all the front desk staff we met were courteous, helpful and friendly. They were the best thing the hotel had to offer. We want to thank them.

Dear Mr/Ms Tangarini,

Thank you very much for staying at Hotel Mystays Akasaka.
We are very pleased that you chose our branches for your stay in Tokyo. As you reviewed, our hotel is located in such a convenient place. In fact many guests are taking advantages of our location for their sightseeing. Recently one of the popular electric stores has just opened nearby the hotel too. Our staff will be happy to assist guests as much as possible.
We have renamed from Weekly Mansion Tokyo at Akasaka to Hotel Mystays Akasaka since January. But we still offer long-term stay plans for guests’ conveniences. Therefore we prepare room interiors which can be suitable for both short-term and long-term stays and thus the room lights seem a little bit brighter than other hotels. We hope you understand. Coined laundry room is open for 24hours, and we have wired access to the internet for all rooms. Wireless internet is available at the lobby area as well.
Single room type C (it is also called as Superior single room) is favored by many guests because of its width and storage spaces. All rooms come with small kitchen, dresser drawer(s) and bathroom/bath module. Regarding to the width of bathroom /bath module, there are many requests for remodeling. However unfortunately we are currently not able to take place the renovation. When we at last conduct the remodeling, we will make sure that the new hotel will be to our guests liking.
We are sincerely sorry for the inappropriate cleanliness. We will commit more on cleanliness with our cleaning staff. But thank you very much for your warm comment to our staff. We are always willing to assist our guests. Some speak English, Korean as well as Japanese.
Thank you very much again for your time to share your stay at TripApdvisor. We sincerely hope that you will stay with us again for your next visit in Tokyo.
