“This is not Benihana!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Keyakizaka is one of ten restaurants in the Grant Hyatt Hotel in Roppongi. You sit at the communal bar for dinner and watch the chef wield his magic with the freshest produce displayed in beautiful baskets, cut portions of marbleized beef before cooking them to perfection atop the long grill surface directly in front you ( not to worry-- there is a powerful exhaust system at work), and cook portions of rice and vegetables inside a clear plastic pouch which he assembles himself. You watch the contents bubbling inside and expanding the pouch. Service is seamless. After the meal, you are ushered to an adjoining lounge to enjoy dessert while sitting on comfortable sofas. The entire experience is delightful and, of course, expensive-- about $425 for two!

“Favorite teppanyaki”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012 via mobile

Modern take on teppanyaki mixing traditional courses with dishes like seared tuna with guacamole and seafood stew cooked in a small pot directly on the teppan. Great food and like all of the restaurants in the Grand Hyatt great service. For very traditional teppanyaki there are other options in Tokyo but this is my preference. Lunch is much more affordable than dinner.

“Superb (but pricey) Teppanyaki”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2012

Excellent teppanyaki restaurant in Roppongi Hills. Great decor and service and I really recommend the tasting course - 4 types of delicious beef - and the potatoes and cheese. The desserts are also cooked in front of you - the chocolate one is excellent. Only drawback is that it can get expensive when you have wine. Great place to impress clients or a date.

“Great food in the Roppongi area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2011

Great price fixed price lunch - ¥3,800. Beautiful atmosphere - an innovative Teppanyaki restaurant that features an array of market fresh seasonal meats, seafood, poultry and vegetables. I opted for the more expensive lunch choice (¥7900) which featured French Challan duck, Chanko Hot Pot, Miso soup, Red Snapper with steamed turnip, snow crab, saffron sauce, Japanese beef tenderloin, Garlic fried rice, Chocolate Ice cream with cherries.
