“Really worth the trip.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

I love my Japanese cars so I went just to see Tokyo Mega Web and had a great time, but there is a lot to see and do in that area of town.
The Mega Web is a must for any Toyota fan. I really enjoyed looking at all the modles of cars and the future tech that will be in Toyotas. I got to test drive a Toyota 86 around there test track, which was fun even if limited to 40 Kph.
The history garage has restored cars from all makes on display, as well as a bit of a library of all car books and models.
The Mega web joins on to a large game palour and Ferris wheel on one side and joins Venus Fort on the other side.
I'm not one to enjoy shopping but i really liked Venus Fort and its semi-unique interior (apparently is a copy of a place in Vagas??).
I really wish Nissan would do a version of Mega Web. Well worth the effort to go visit.

“Not very exciting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

This place is really pretty much the same as visiting a car showroom anywhere in the world. It's ok but not exactly very exciting. I was a bit disappointed really

“More like a car showroom”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

The area is connected with Venus Fort through 1 & 2 nd Floor.
Few interactive games for kids and at the time I was there, there is a 'meet & greet' of J-Pop girl band called DOLL.
Interesting parts : COMS - The Super Compact Electric Vehicle and i-REAL vehicle.

“The Toyota Showroom-- free and fun for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Although I had no interest in test driving a car, and the assistive device section was closed, my son had a blast "test driving" the toyota crash-safety simulator and a race car simulator. It was free and near other attractions-- the ferris wheel and joypolis-- so it was worth checking out if only for an hour or so. The monorail ride there and the architecture in the surrounding area made the trip worthwhile as well.

“Toyota History Garage (Auto Museum) a little disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

Mega Web has a number of elements linked to Toyota and this review focuses on the History Garage, at the opposite end of the Venus Fort shopping Center from the showroom, test driving area and Meg@web.

Firstly admission is free, and it's a haven of peace in a busy shopping centre! The upper floor has a small number of permanent exhibits and cars on display, several of which you are encouraged to sit in and take a photo. However the cars are all European or US, and the recreated gas station is a (poor) reproduction of a US Texaco station. Even the memorabilia displayed in the cabinets behind all came from France, England or the USA. At the other end of the "garage" there were a few Japanese autos from the 1950s/60s, from a mix of manufacturers, not just Toyota, but they didn't in any way tell the story of how Japan became a world force in car manufacturing.

Downstairs is the racing area, which was very limited in scope and not really worth the time!

It's a shame as Toyota have missed an opportunity to showcase their own history. For car enthusiasts it's a pleasant enough place to wander round, but it's not really about Japan at all.
