“Interesting Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Located at Tokyo Bay area in lovely Odaiba, i throughly love this hotel. Despite its 3.5 star ratings, i thought this hotel rivalled a lot of the 4 stars if not better. I would give them a 4 hands down.
Check in was swift. Receptionist was efficient, very typical good Japanese hospitality. No surprise.

My room was bigger than i thought. The most pleasant surprise was a small little foot massager which is so handy since i have a marathon to run the next day- it proved to be very useful after i completed the marathon. It was orgasmic!

Bed was comfy. This hotel provides a huge Lawson on the second floor. And with its few classy bitros, i would not hesitate to return and stay again if i were to visit this area.
Transportation to downtown Tokyo can never be easier than using the Yurikamome Line. The nearest monorail station is Kokusai Tenjijo Seimon. Alternatively, one can also hop onto the Rinkai Line and the nearest station is Kokusai Tenjijo. Both lines can bring you to Tokyo Central in 25 min max so it's pretty convenient.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel back in Dec 2012. Since we travelled together in a large group, so I think my room was upgraded (so that all 4 of our rooms were on the same floor) since it seemed larger than expected.

There's a small convenience store on the 2nd level of the hotel, and also a bigger 7-11 on the 2nd level of the building opposite the hotel.

Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

We took the airport limousine bus from Haneda Airport direct to the hotel, and it didn't really take long. There's also a bus that brings you from the hotel directly to Disneyland/Disneysea, but you will have to make seat reservations with the hotel beforehand.

There's a nice foot massager in the room.

Probably the only thing I didn't liked was its location. Since it is located at Odaiba, so we the subway fares to/from Odaiba were slightly more expensive than usual.

The Sunroute Ariake is a good choice if you need to be in the Ariake/Odaiba area. It's less expensive than most of the alternatives in Odaiba, and conveniently located near to Kokusai-Jenjijo station on the Rinkai line and Ariake on the Yurikamome line. It's a short walk from Tokyo Big Sight exhibition area, and from the Venus Fort shopping centre. However it's not a very good choice if you are looking for general sightseeing in central Tokyo, as it takes quite a long time to get to the centre and neither the Rinkai nor the Yurikamome lines accept Metro or Toei subway passes. (Toei passes can be used on the Bus 01 towards Tokyo Teleport station, that has a stop about 10 minutes' walk from the hotel near the tennis centre.)

Inside the room I had was cramped, although with a large bathroom (maybe because it also served as a disabled room it was atypical). There was free (Cat 5 cabled) internet access in the room, and other facilities included a nice and quiet fridge and a kettle. Storage space was very limited, so despite staying for a week I kept most things in my suitcase. There's an eco-cleaning option where they will only change towels every 4 days; this is fine but if chosen they also fail to replenish any supplies used and restrict themselves to emptying the bin.

The buffet breakfast was good but not outstanding (very little fruit, few Western style pastries) and expensive, even for Japan. The bar staff could be a little unfriendly, and - like many Japanese hotels - they keep rigidly to check-in hours, not permitting you early access to a room even if you have just arrived off the overnight flight.

The Lawson convenience store on the second floor is very useful, although it charges more for beer than most Lawson outlets; if you want to buy a can go across to the Sunkus or the Daily C-stores (both within 3 minutes' walk). And for general supplies there's an extensive 100 Yen shop in the TTC center 2 minutes' walk away.

Nice hotel. Free lobby wifi. Room was smaller than what I'm used to but not as bad as midtown Japan :). Everyone says it's standard for japan. My friend and I shared a double bed and it was fine (we're both 5'0-5'2). Bed was comfy, room was clean, shampoo/comb/razor/body sponge/towels were provided. JRline/Subway really close by, so that was really convenient, esp. when travelling with luggage! There are malls and eating places closeby. They provide free shuttle to Disneyland/DisneySea. 24 hour Lawson's in the hotel is nice to have and there is a 100 yen store nearby as well. Staff's really polite and helpful. I forgot my camera charger after checkout (only realized that 3 hours later), luckily I was closeby (shopping!) and they were more than helpful to retrieve it for me.

This property was booked for a brief business trip and is a good choice for that purpose or may even be a good option if you are touring Tokyo on a budget. As is to be expected, the room was small but not brutally so. Storage was a bigger concern, as there really was no place to unpack...almost anything.

It was, nevertheless, a clean and functional room in a clean and functional hotel situated in a business park that has easy access to public transportation and is an easy walk to a variety of the sights of Tokyo's Odaiba waterfront. While there, you can tour several hotels that cost several times what this property regularly charges nightly if you so choose. Remember, all of this pricey real estate is in the same general area as this hotel.

Also, although one must be careful when booking if booking for this purpose, the hotel offers free shuttle service to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort. Again, the rooms are small and more for the business traveler; however, you can easily stay as a couple in a room or book a triple. This is a trade-off whereby you have to weigh your savings over the limited space this hotel's rooms offer. Often though, the savings can be substantial.

The convenience store on the second level was definitely a plus, the television selection (catering to a domestic customer) was a definite negative. But, everything considered, for the purposes of this trip, this was a very good choice and could be for you depending on your needs, budget, and expectations.

Nice hotel. Clean room and bathroom. The service is excellent. The front desk is very helpful and accomodating. Very polite and respectful.( But as a whole japanese people are helpful and very respectful and kind. I love japanese people. Anywhere you go in japan people are very warm and very polite.)
There is a convient store in the 2nd floor of the hotel. There' s lot of bento meals. Yummy and affordable.there is an airport limousine from narita airport to the hotel. The hotel is located near disneyland and disneysea. A free shuttle is available. But you need to book ahead of time. It gets full easily. The subway station is about 5 min. Walk. If you can not understand their subway there's always a person in charge in the office of the subway. They are very much willing to help you. Very patient, very kind and polite people.

Room Tip: We got a 2 single bed. But it is good enough. I travelled with 2 kids a 5 and 8 years old. We are co...

I recently stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a conference at the convention centre. The airport bus goes directly to the hotel, although I had a 1.5hr wait at the airport for the bus to turn up (they do not travel as frequently to this area as they do to the city). The journey took just over an hour.

I arrived at the hotel at 11am, which was too early to check-in but they offered to keep my bags if I wanted to go out; which I did. The hotel is an easy 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station, which can have you in the centre of Tokyo in under 30 minutes. It is also only 3 stops to DiverCity - which is a great place to shop and eat because there isn't much else to do around the hotel.

When I returned at 3pm my room was ready and I was checked in promptly. I was given a room with two queen beds. The room was generous by Tokyo standards and the beds were very comfy. The only problem I had was with the pillows, which were very hard and not at all comfortable for me. I loved the fact everything was provided in the room - a sleepshirt, leather slippers, all bathroom amenities (toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, razor, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel), a foot massager (most welcome after a day walking around) and free internet (which was fast and reliable).

There is a convenience store on the 2nd floor - which is more like a mini supermarket than the usual hotel stores - and that sold everything you could possibly want.

I can't comment on the restaurants as I did not eat there, but they were always busy and I guess that is a good sign.

If I was attending a convention here again this would certainly be my first choice. However, if I had business in Tokyo I would probably stay closer to the city.

Room Tip: There are no views in any direction, and the place is silent, so no rooms are better!
