This place is just spectacular; don't consider it another meal but a totally different experience. You will experience shushi and flavors you've never tried before
1) Outstanding personalized service: they treat everyone like their most important customer. From the start we felt welcome. The entire staff is attentive to your needs and respectful of cultural differences. We have heard that the owner takes the time to greet every single guest, and yes he does, we experienced it firsthand. We sat down at the small "sushi bar" (a table that sits up to six) and the chef asked were we came from and any preferences or special needs. For example, I have a preference for stronger flavors and hence my sushi had stronger flavors than my wife's, the chef was also sensitive to ingredients we don't like (e..g octopus, shark fin). Just like us others seating at the same bar received the same personalized treatment.
2) Attention to detail. The sushi is made directly in front of you while the chef shares details on the ingredients he is using, sharing tips on how best to enjoy each piece and making sure every single detail is perfect. Each piece was made with such detail they even counted the lemon or soy sauce drops in each one. The taste of every single ingredient was like never I've tried before; you really get to use your taste buds. This place is like going wine tasting (vs. just drinking a glass of wine anywhere else)
3) Freshness. Each and every single ingredient is prepared at the very moment you are ready to eat it. Not just the fish but they even grind the wasabi in front of you as you need it, not from a jar or a tube like in other places.
Reservations are strongly recommended and make sure you budget plenty of time to eat and enjoy the experience. Prices are higher vs. the rest of the world and maybe some other options in Tokyo, but worth every single penny. We paid ~$250 per person including sake.
