“Excellent property. Unmatched in Tokyo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

Service is top notch. Surroundings are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious and the food is amazing. They do Asian and Western food well: lots of choices. This is the best place to stay in Tokyo and truly one of the better hotels in the world.

It just has what you'd want. Michelin starred restaurants (you can even get their food room service which is cool when you have a 13 months old), fab service and good location. Love it every time. When we booked restaurants ahead of arriving the hotels food and beverage manager even called us to make sure our little son would be ok.

Stayed here a week on business, everything is as advertised, service, rooms, dining, everything was spotless. If possible, request a room facing mt. Fuji, they book faster. Also the neighborhood was very quiet, not much to walk to, aside from imperial palace. If you are looking to be in the center of all the action, stay in Shibuya.

Amazing! It's probably one of the only in this category i'm ok to pay this price. My second time there, and it was as impressive as the first. Stellar breakfast and dinner. Spectacular, complete room. My personal number one, I'm a fan!

I stayed with my family for a week - on holiday and it was a fabulous experience. The rooms and the views are great. Interesting bars and restaurants. Spa is superb. Gym is functional - though not big. Service is wonderful - from the bell desk, to concierge, restaurants, spa - anywhere... you find exemplary customer focus. Truly a great place to stay in Tokyo

Room Tip: The Mandarin suites are great. The higher floors on the west side offer great views of Mount Fuji (o...

One of the most amazing hotels I've stayed at. Amazing rooms, amazing views, top quality service. Not cheap, but absolutely worth it. Nicer than the other Mandarins I have stayed at (HK and Geneva). The only drawback -- and it's a huge drawback -- is the cigarette smoke in the lobby/bar.

Sushi/coffee tips:

Sushi Nihonbashi across the street from the hotel has absolutely fantastic (and quite reasonably priced) sushi.

Omotesando Koffee (in Omotesando) is a must-visit coffee place for coffee lovers - one of the best brews in Tokyo served in a slightly surreal setup.
