“Thank you again, Royal Park Tokyo !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

My business associate and I needed 2 last minute rooms while we were in Tokyo the first week of October and we walked in and the assistant manager took care of us right away...even set us up with a great rate. Hotels (or anywhere for that matter) with wifi are very few and far between in Tokyo. RP has it complimentary. Breakfast buffet is always wonderful and I always love how easy it is to jump on the train from below the hotel. If you want to walk to Ningyo-cho station it's about 5 minutes but as long as you know where you are going, catching the train from below the hotel, Suitengu, is nothing short of awesome. Thanks again, Royal Park.

Stayed at this hotel many, many times over the past 20 years and never regretted it. perhaps the greatest feature is its location as it is on the edge of Tokyo closest to Narita and Haneda Airports and connected to the Tokyo City Air Terminal. This means no traffic coming in or going out on the Limousine Bus.

Recently upgraded many of the rooms. Workout facility never crowded and one of the best indoor pools in Tokyo.

Subway into city accessed via elevator underground.

Convenient location, good service, helpful staff, clean rooms. Stayed for 9 days, would be good if breakfast buffet spread could be varied instead of serving same daily. The first hotel I stayed in that charges for gym usage, and don't provide complimentary bottled water.

I have stayed at this hotel twice this past week. First time I was given a lovely room with nice outlook. Services both time were impeccable
The thing to watch is when you check in is they try to sell you additional packages. In all my travels I have never had to pay to use a hotel gym. Seems to be a Japanese thing.
I paid 4000 yen for club access, late check out and breakfast.
On my first stay earlier this week after I had to wait 45 minutes for breakfast entry so finally gave up and went down the road for a delicious local breakfast of 160yen.
This is my second stay this week after a side trip to osaka and once again paid the 4000 yen.
Tonight I couldn't find a seat at the club lounge which is part of the package as there seemed to be big groups of people taking all the chairs leaving none for the long traveller. Basically I was told to come back later......not sure how much later as it is only had an hour to run
Now I just rang reception to confirm my 3pm check out to be told I couldn't have it as my room is booked and I have to be out by midday !
So beware of the up sell where they don't deliver

Room Tip: Don't go for a room ending in 54

We had 3 nights on the Exec Floor which included breakfast. Room was a good size, including a desk, chair and footstool. Check in for the Exec floors was on the 16th floor where you got to sit down and refresh with a cold washer (cloth/flannel depending what you call it). Could also purchase metro passes, one or two days from here too, which surprisingly were cheaper than you could get them from the metro itself. Best way to move around city.
We arrived by metro to Suitegumae Station, walked to exit 4 and there was the entrance (side entrance) to the hotel. Breakfast each morning was on the 20th floor with a great view of the city and a great range of foods to choose from. Staff were very courteous and spoke English all the time.
The train line we came in continued onto the Tokyo Skytree so very handy.
Ate at the Chinese restaurant on the ground floor, beautiful food but quite pricey. There were coupons we could us at certain restaurants in the hotel but they all included fish which we dont eat.
Used the gym once. It opened at 6am which is a bit late since breakfast finishes with last orders 8:30am. Small exercise area but huge stretching room.

The hotel is very well located, in particular its adjacent to the Tokyo City Air Terminal making connections to the airport via bus very easy. The overall feel of the hotel is one of quiet luxury, all the staff is very accommodating and gracious. The rooms themselves are 'OK', they are not large, but well laid out. Soundproofing is excellent. The decor is, however, dated and starting to feel a bit run down. The gym and restaurants are great.

Room Tip: The speed of wifi was generally slow and varied a great deal.

I stay at this hotel a few times a year and the service is always great. It's right next to the TCAT terminal, so access to the airports and city subway is great. The rooms and facilities are dated, but very clean. I hope they have plans to renovate the hotel to match the level of service they provide.
