Central location, on top of a subway station with 2-3 metro lines; city centre, walkable to numerous eating, shopping locations; attentive and polite service; spacious rooms for central Tokyo; beautiful garden, high quality restaurants.

This hotel deserves the high ratings it has here. My personal experience is similar to the many positive reviews posted.

The location and privacy makes this hotel suitable for both business and romantic city getaway for couples.

Everything I could want in a hotel - plus plus. Beautiful design, giddy views over the Tokyo cityscape, space. The staff here are so polite and welcoming. There was always someone on hand to answer questions and help with directions, buses, trains timetables etc. There is a train station under the hotel and oodles of restaurants just down the road. The hotel restaurants are quite expensive. We had breakfast every morning at Precious Coffee Moments (which is down in the subway). Great coffee and jazz music. Loved Tokyo, loved Capitol Hotel Tokyu. Thanks for taking such good care of us.

Truly nice, I can't find any negative point. To be noted that all the rooms are located at the highest floors between 17th and 29th. Every little detail is thought smartly.
Tip if that's a first time: no check in or drop off luggage for AF flights before 3 hours. The last limousine bus leaving the hotel is at 3:50pm, arriving at Narita at 5:30pm. Do not take it if your flight is at 10pm, because you'll have to wait too long to drop off your luggage. And the AF lounge is so small and filled with noisy people.

The location is great, very convenient. There are 4 tube stations under the hotel and you can get within minutes almost everywhere in Tokyo. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was quite big and I had a splendid view from the room window. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The toilet and the bathroom were great with good shower and Japanese digital technologies. There are wonderful cafes and restaurants, where dishes are quite expensive but very delicious. Breakfast is quite nice but expansive. I will stay again in this hotel when I am in Tokyo, as the hotel fully satisfies my requirements.

Room Tip: Payment for swimming-pool and jim should be included in the room price! Breakfast should either be i...

I don't think I could fault this hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are large, clean, quiet, with lovely views, comfortable beds and hot/powerful showers (modern, but with Japanese hints to them). Akasaka is a great place to stay - I would go running around the nearby palaces. It is near to metro stations, relatively close to Haneda airport and walking distance to some of the restaurants we visited. I did not try the food, so I cannot comment on that. It is more than I would normally spend on a hotel, but I think it is not expensive and worth the little bit extra. I have stayed in cheaper accommodation in Shinjuku and although it was perfectly fine, I think I will stay here next time.

This hotel is an oasis of peace and perfection in Tokyo. Located in front of Japan Prime Minister official home, and close to all main Government buildings, it is perfect for whoever has to be in the area, but I would recommend it to anyone, simply because it is really a beautiful hotel. Everything in the hotel is perfect: the cleanliness, the rooms, the restaurant (I had two excellent meals at the Origami restaurant in the basement), the gym.
Just outside the hotel there is a nice temple Hie Shrine), giving some shade to the walkers in the scorching summer sun.
