“6 months since my stay and I'm still in awe about how good this hotel was”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

I do not exaggerate when I say that everything about my week long stay at the CHT was perfect. The staff practically fall over themselves to be polite and helpful, the location is great, the rooms are massive and extremely comfortable (the awesome showers alone are worth a mention), the views are utterly spectacular (we had a room on the Imperial Palace/Diet building side; the lights of the Ginza skyscrapers at night are beautiful). I didn't sample any of the restaurants but went to several in the nearby streets, some posh ones and some izakayas, and they were all lovely.

It's in a nice neighbourhood, busy enough to not be dull but quiet enough to be peaceful. So quiet, in fact, that on our last evening in Tokyo we were perfectly alone under the cherry blossom trees when I proposed to my girlfriend in front of the shrine behind the hotel.

When I go back, I'll book this place in a heartbeat. Best hotel I've ever stayed in.

She said yes, by the way.

Room Tip: You'l have great views on any side but if you get a choice, get one with a view of the Imperial...

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in a club room. The rooms are a good size and well equipped with the usual amenities expected of a 5 start hotel. The Origami Restaurant is nice for breakfast, lunch or dinner although expensive the service is excellent and the food presentation and quality is also very good. The incredibly thoughtful staff and excellent service are what makes this hotel stand out, add to this the excellent access to the subway from within the hotel makes The Capitol a great base to explore Tokyo. The staff who look after you in the Club Library Lounge are truly outstanding.

In a city of large, imposing international hotels, this smaller, business oriented property in the heart of Ginza is a real discovery. Rooms are perfectly appointed with an amazing shower and complimentary 'accessories' - and spotless as only a Japanese hotel can be.
The restaurants and bar were also excellent. I also spent some time in the small but tranquil spa, which was a treat after a long flight from London. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: As for a room overlooking the nearby temple.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights and highly recommend it. As my partner was on business most days and some nights, I was by myself for a lot of the trip. I felt safe at all times and the fantastic location of the hotel meant that I could travel around independently very easily. The hotel's greatest asset is the access to four metro lines in the basement. There is also a Seven Eleven store, which proved useful as the hotel restaurants are expensive. The staff were very friendly and helped me organise restaurant reservations and transport to the airport.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights during March 2012. Basically, you can get everything you expect from a 5 star hotel. Very big rooms considering you're living in Tokyo; extremely friendly staff; great view during the night; good location (though there are 4 subway lines connect to the basement of the hotel, do remember it still takes a lot of walk to the platform :('). All in all, we had a really wonderful stay there.

This is a gorgeous hotel, one of the very best city hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. Great service at every stage, beautiful and serene common areas and gorgeous, slick, calm rooms. I stayed in a Club Deluxe room which was superb. The access to the facilities in the club lounge was excellent. Teppenyaki dinner at Suiren Restaurant was extremely good, and dinner at Star Hill Chinese restaurant also excellent. The prices to dine within the hotel though, are very high, but the food quality and service really shone through. Breakfast in Origami was also excellent, although the portions a little small for the Westaern palate. I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat, whether it be for business or pleasure. It's an oasis of calm in a great city. Absolutely wonderful.

I spent 5 nights int these hotel: and was really sad when I had to leave.
The hotel is simply perfect: nice location, perfect rooms, perfect service...
The hotel has a subway station under it: it is incredibly useful. On the same level(you reach it with an elevator of the hotel) you will find a 7Eleven.
If you walk 5/10 minutes from the hotel you will find an incredible number of restaurants of all price ranges.
From the hotel you can easily walk to Ginza, Roppongi, Imperial Palace....
Breakfast is of good quality bur expensive and only a la carte.

At the 27/28/29 florrs there's the club floor. If you stay at these floors you have a lounge where to have complimentary drinks and snacks. If you book at these floors breakfast is included ;)
