The ninja experience sounded like a fun night out with a group of friends. Well, it certainly was that, and a whole lot more.
Firstly the welcome and service is as good as it gets. From the moment you arrive until you are waved off by your ninja outside the restaurant door, you are made to feel special and pampered. Service is super-efficient and nothing seems to be too much trouble.
The theme is very well incorporated, without it feeling like a childish Disney experience. We were led thought a dark and "dangerous" maze to our private ninja "cabin", and although the restaurant was packed, we always had the impression that every member of staff was completely focused on the well-being and enjoyment of our group of ninja.
The food looked and tasted delicious! In fact, this may just be the best meal I had during this particular trip to Tokyo. We chose one of the menu's and made some last-minute changes to accommodate dietry requirements. This was no problem for the kitchen, and the substitute dishes was of the same high quality as the menu dishes. Although portions are small, there were so many courses that we were very well satisfied by the end of the meal.
We indulged in some cocktails, and they are all highly recommended. They not only looked pretty, but also tasted divine.
Two nice touches were the soup dish that was prepared by our ninja at the table and the magic show by the "master" ninja. This is the level of attention to detail that makes this an exceptional restaurant experience.
This may not be the cheapest evening out in Tokyo, but it certainly is worth every yen. Highly recommended.
Oh, and do make reservations to avoid disappointment.
