“Reasonable hotel, with a few flaws”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

Stayed one night (booked by travel agent).
Pros:
- Ok location
- Decent size (for Japan) room and bathroom
- Very clean
- Usual amenities, although there is a charge for making coffee in the room
- Complimentary high speed wired internet in room

Cons:
- Elevators are small and too few, generating lines during peak hours
- Front desk staff speaks poor English
- Hefty charge for WiFi in room
- No gym. To use a nearby gym there is a charge of 2,100 yen per person per visit and opening hours are limited (no evening hours)
- Breakfast was ok, mostly Japanese with a very limited selection of western items

We stayed here for 1 night to see a Tokyo Giants game.

Pro's:
1) Room was nice and medium size
2) AC was quiet and efficent
3) Bed was not super hard which can be an issue in Japan as they tend to be very hard mattresses.
4) Great location for the game and also for the nearby JR trains.

Con's:
1) Not enought elevators (or at least in service?) for a hotel this large. Seemed like I would wait a long time to get down from the 37th floor.
2) Went and had a late lunch at 43rd floor. Host was confused about lunch being served and we were seated in front of a window with a nice view but they had built this large wooden pattern on the window that partially blocked the view.
3) The food at the cafe was mediocre and drinks were way overpriced. 670 yen for a coke!
4) One English channel (BBC news)

It is one of the most elegant hotels in Tokyo, close to many shops and the sports stadium in Tokyo. Very clean, many shops and security and advisors are everywhere to help you. The rooms are bigger than most other Japanes hotels and the variety of food is overwhelming. Price is a little pricey, but worth it.

Room Tip: The higher the rooms the quieter they get.

The hotel is nice, clean. I did not find it tourist friendly.It was a struggle to be understood , no to many english speaking employees.Is not even 1 english channel, usually you can watch BBC World ,wii is very slow to.Is no complementary coffee in the room, even the coffee is there you will be charged 200 Y. Nice new shopping complex .

Stayed here for a recent conference, the hotel was well located to where we were conferencing and that was a positive thing.

Pros
* very clean
* every staff member very friendly
* ok location
* reasonably priced

cons
*early check in was 150% of the room rate per night (outrageous)
* extra cost for wireless internet in room
* staff at check in spoke very poor english
* no english language television channels
*anything we asked for that was slightly unusual created many problems
*restaurants in the hotel were of a very poor standard, breakfast was great for Japanese but very bad for western breakfast
*japanese restaurant in hotel was very expensive and the food was ordinary
*No gym, you have to pay 2,100 yen per person, per visit to use a gym that is a ten minute walk from the hotel
*check-out took 30 minutes and then they couldnt work out the bill and we received an angry call from the driver who hadnt been paid for the airport transfer, this was unresolved as at the time we flew back to Australia. The disorganisation was unprofessional
*We needed printed vouchers from our travel agent when checking in - this hotel lives in the dark ages

Room Tip: high floors have a good view, even number rooms face the city

Overall, this was a fine place to spend a few days on business. The room was clean and the property is convenient for many venues (nothing is close to any hotels in Tokyo - the city is just too large). The hotel staff was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and directions to attractions within walking distance. Breakfast on the 3rd floor is recommended - a great mix of Western and Eastern food.

Nice hotel, only stayed one night on business. Reception big, but a bit sole less and no where to sit to have meeting until coffer area opened! Staff friendly and helpful. Didn't eat breakfast due to early start. Room smallish. Surrounded by amusement area (roller coater etc) as next to Toyko Dome stadium.. but this was closed. Probably fun when open though. Would stay there again, no problem, but might try to find something a bit more characterful next time.
